We hide A Renault small SUV for four days in it done approximately 4000 K, so was in good condition. The only annoying factor was a rattle in the drivers door. The service at the counter was good and fast as was the shuttle to the airport The right was okay cheaper than most but like everything these days too expensive. The only other negative comment that I would make is that their shuttle service only goes between their base and the airport. They don’t pick up or drop off at hotels. I know a lot of higher car companies only do that these days but Some will do the hotel pick up and return.
Best rental company in Melbourne
I have been using ECCR every time I travel to Melbourne. The experience was always great on the previous occasions and this time was no exception. Staff were friendly and quick and we got our two cars within 20 minutes. As we chose zero liability the staff did not even go through the cars with us and told us to just drive off. Returning was a breeze also. Just handed the keys to a guy after we parked and all good.
East Coast Cars is a great service and I'll use them again.
I've never used East Coast Cars before and so it was a gamble. I couldn't have been happier. From the pick up at the aiport to collection of the car, and then drop off and lift back 6 days later, I couldn't rate it highly enough. We ended up with what I think is a better car than I had booked (Mitsubishi ASX instead of a MG ZS). The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient, with clear communication on how to find the pick up point at the airport and also the drop off procedure. It was a great price for a great service and I will definitely use them again.

Easy shuttle to pick up car
Easy shuttle to pick up car, and drop car off for shuttle back to the airport which is very close by. We took full insurance, staff were friendly and helpful. We upgraded to a mid size car which was a great car to drive. Returning the car was a simple process that took very little time.

Note of Appreciation East Coast Cars GG & Hobart
Dear Management, I have had a contract for two cars in two locations in the last month, 16/10/24 on the Gold Coast and then again on 2/11/24 in Hobart. I have to say, we are converts to East Coast Car Rentals only and have informed and "promoted" to friends, due to service, staff at admin office, streamline processes, shuttle bus, price, quality & cleanliness of the cars. Thank you so much for your Shuttle Bus Service, I understand necessary due to being off site from Airports, but directions, meeting point were all very clear and sent via the confirmation email. The shuttle bus drivers on all occasions were personal, great at their job, shared information about the area we were visiting, the company, love their jobs, the company name, its aims/service and you can tell. Special mention must go to Bruce in Hobart behind the desk who did the admin hire paperwork for me on 2/11/24, handed over the car, explained the car, gave clear operating hints and gave Tassie local information and "must do's/see". Bruce was so personable, friendly, knowledgeable and efficient all at the same time. The Shuttle bus driver in Hobart from airport to admin depot (2/11/2024) was just lovely, efficient, professional and same gave information about local Tassie, she also assisted with heavy bags which was wonderful as we took way too much luggage as unsure of the changing weather. Unfortunately, I missed her name. The other driver that assisted me greatly was in QLD, from depot car return to the Gold Coast Airport on 23 Oct. Thanks for taking these comments the way they are intended, I was really impressed with both GG & Hobart processes, please pass onto relevant teams and management. Picking up the car and returning are fast and easy. The staff is very detailed in explaining the rules. However it would be better if they can alert us about the pre-set safety feature in the car to prepare us beforehand.

A great experience
Our Tassie holiday was enhanced by a great experience with the East Coast team. One click on the SMS link and our driver appeared at the airport within minutes. He was polite and well presented. Our vehicle was clean and presentable. I loved my first experience driving a hybrid RAV-4, so much that I have considered purchasing one. The return was quick and efficient, with full documentation and photos emailed within minutes. I'll be back!

Brilliant customer service from Sarah…
Brilliant customer service from Sarah when I arrived in a heap after a 2 day journey only to find one piece of paper work was out of date. Found a solution to the problem and Sarah went above and beyond to help. Good clean cars most of which are very new. Friendly service drop off service guys and very quick turn around in buses back to the airport which is 5 minutes away. They make a great team so will be using again when I return in February
