Annoying cold callers going door to door whilst we are in a lockdown. What a bunch of dimwits.
Dyson Energy Services has mixed reviews from customers. Customers particularly appreciate service and professional, though some mention concerns about communication and customer service.

Annoying cold callers going door to door whilst we are in a lockdown. What a bunch of dimwits.
This company 'Cold called' in our village that has multiple signs saying that Cold Calling is forbidden, and it was on Good Friday! I was out but my wife was persuaded to have an engineer visit the following day and he would telephone in advance to confirm his arrival time. No contact details were left so I was unable to cancel the visit. On Saturday a young man arrived, unannounced, and when I asked for the company details he had to read his badge and didn't know exactly where they were based but thought 'Yorkshire somewhere'. Totally unimpressed with woeful ignoring of rules and lack of professionalism so if I do want to discuss it further at a later date it certainly won't be with Dyson. Reported to Trading Standards.
I recently had a system boiler installed by Alan, I have to say he has done a fantastic job, really happy with his work, very professional just got on with it, everything was done within 4 hour's full installation. Definitely recommend them. 👍🏼😊
Got a cold call from the Dyson ECO Rep today (despite a no uninvited traders sign - he pointed it out and said he was not selling anything so I listened). He was a pleasant young man who gave a clear explanation and appeared genuine - the only concern is that when we worked out I was not eligible he suggested ways to get around it (split savings to different accounts, don't declare real income left after household costs). I would suggest you inform your reps not to do that (it is probably fraud).
Dyson did the cavity wall insulation for our house this week - it was at zero cost to us (under the grant) and they did a fantastic job, fast and efficient. It turned out there was a small issue (our damp barrier was a brick too low) but Dyson came up with a good work around (they relaid the block paving closest to the house to give a drain-away, with gravel) and they did that with no fuss and no extra cost. The team were professional and polite and I was very impressed with the look. Thank you!
Excellent service from all concerned
The installation of the insulation was undertaken professionally and efficiently. A very good attempt was made to clean up around them despite the weather.
From the initial review through to the completion of the work the service was efficient and professional. On the scheduled day the installer explained what he would be doing and the minimal noise that would incur (we had advised the neighbors beforehand). The work was carried out quickly and efficiently and dust and debris cleaned away before leaving. I was pleasantly surprised to find that there was almost no visible trace of where the work was carried out. Overall, an excellent service.
After having a friendly and informative gentleman knock on the door and explain the services you offer, we decided to progress with the cavity wall insulation. We got an appointment booked for a surveyor to come out last week, but at the end of the timed block we got a phone call to say the tool he uses was broken and wouldn’t be able to attend. I gave him the benefit of the doubt, and rebooked for today. Today came and went and no one showed. Not even a phone call to cancel or to let us know what’s going on. Twice now we have been let down
Writing this review while I've been on hold for over half an hour trying to organise a date for a new boiler to be delivered, having waited over 3 months with no one ever coming back to me despite chasing numerous times. Actually had a good service with wall and loft insulation so this is very disappointing. If anybody wants to get in touch with me about this I would be grateful
8 minutes ago Just a few lines to commend the two… Just a few lines to commend the two Dyson reps that came to my door on 22nd & 23rd February 2021. Alun Tayburn (think that’s correct) arrived first to explain the ECO3 situation and was very professional and concise in his delivery. A serving Police Officer for over 30 years, I’m not easily intimidated or ‘had over’ and was ready for the challenge when Alun walked up the drive. No need and couldn't fault his delivery or style. Great service which then led to Sagar Amin, the Surveyor arriving the next day during an area blitz (made sense to me) who was equally as efficient and pleasant. Both chaps were extremely professional and courteous and transparent. Sagar even gave me a follow up call and answered competently a couple of my initially forgotten questions. As it stands I’m expecting the installation team in April all being well. Credit to both Alun and Sagar. I’ve noted other recent reviews but on my experience, I have to disagree. Thanks fellas.
I too have had.a cold call re ‘free insulation’ the male talks very fast, well versed I’d say, and gets around to you agreeing to a surveyor attending your house. Surveying what I now wonder? I took a photo of his id which looked dodgy when I was able to see it, different and bolder type for his name and supposed id number.
A chap claiming to be from Dyson Energy Services visited to ask if we wanted cavity wall insulation, as it didn't look like we already had it, and it would be funded by the government. He could arrange for an inspection tomorrow as they had surveyors in the area - but only tomorrow. He wouldn't leave a card or any paperwork explaining the funding scheme. The whole thing felt dodgy and had hallmarks of a scam (cold call, pressured to act immediately, only available for short period, wouldn't leave any paperwork) so I said we were not interested. His whole approach seemed very unprofessional, and untrustworthy. I'd expect better from a reputable firm.
Couple of muppets cold called yesterday. During Covid? Really? Heard them talking nonsense to my wife and I went to the door and told them we weren’t interested. Kept on telling me I had paid for it in my energy bills so they weren’t selling anything. Really? Finally got rid of them. Saw them pacing around the same streets hours later. Obviously poor guys on commission to get to the next stage but really not appreciated at the best of times, let alone now.
Cold calling, even with a no cold calling sticker on the door, lucky to have a Ring doorbell installed. Went through all the bla bla, made an appointment for next day, but after reading the reviews online, changed my mind completely and cancelled everything. Don't need the cavity insulation, and if I do, I will contact a company of my choice.
My experience with Dyson energy services was fantastic, from start to finish. All the appointments were on time everytime. The installer (Paul) and the electrician (Dennis) were extremely professional, and very knowledgeable about their trade, I genuinely have had no negative experiences throughout the whole process. Highly recommended
Had a chap cold calling on my wife stating he was not selling but according to him we might be eligible for cavity wall insulation grant , my wife pointed out that he should not be cold calling during a pandemic and also we live in a no Cold Calling area to which he stated he was an essential worker and promptly produced a laminated sheet to this effect . Rubbish, this company should not be out and about and blatantly ignored all the signs up and down the road. Perhaps he was more interested in our dogs as we are in a high dog theft area, who knows? All I know is it's disgusting these people are out cold calling , there are quite a few old people on our street and I hate to think they have been put through the same pack of lies . Need reporting.
After my original post calling this company irresponsible they where very quick to jump on my review and state they would like to pass this to management and discuss...well I did send an email stating my issue, telling them that they should not in fact be cold calling during a national lockdown, assuming that I was entitled to a 100% energy grant in the hope we was on some type of benefits and how it should be enough to say ‘no thank you’ without then being questioned into why we have not taken up the offer and when would we be likely to do this!! But no response....when it’s not on show they don’t want to know! Just clearly looking like they actually going to do something! Well I don’t wish to have a private email I would like their response added to this thread so everyone can see the response!
Just had a chap and a girl cold calling and they advised me that according to their hand held computer, I did not have cavity wall insulation. Strange that, the house is only 2 years old, wonder why planning allowed the builder to get away with that!!! Why do they consider that they are essential workers during lockdown???
Excellent service from Dyson Energy: firstly, the surveyor, Andrew, was totally professional, arriving on time and explained in detail what the insulation would entail; Gina was excellent on the phone, sorting out a minor issue over paperwork, and finally Ryan, who did the installation - I have nothing but praise for his work and his attitude and politeness; the company should be proud of him. All in all a very good experience.
