Bethan Pike was our property manager and has probably been the most caring and attentive person we've had manage our tenancy. When we ever had issues with the property, she was always responsive and helpful and also managed the end of our tenancy/deposit very well, handling a dispute with our landlord. We've had horrendous experiences with estate agents and private landlords in the past so it's a breath of fresh air to know there are great people out there.
Lottie at Dexters in Surbiton was on the ball, and always called me back if I left a message. She is very helpful and keen, and a great asset to Dexters. I would recommend using Lottie for your next house sale.
We are most thankful to Alistair Maclean who worked with us in getting a matter over the line in a timely manner. His fast responses and head on approach meant all parties involved were well informed. We look forward to working with him again in the near future.
Joe was really helpful throughout the entire renting process, keeping in contact with updates regularly. He was direct and honest with his thoughts and turned around the listing in a speedy fashion. I'd definitely recommend.
Have recently been involved in a transaction with Dexters where Alistair Maclean was instrumental in ironing out the issues required to move the transaction forward to exchange. His input and diligence was extremely beneficial to the transaction, so i'd have no hesitation in recommending Alistair and would welcome his involvement in future.
We like to mention how disappointed was the experience with Dexter, this is the first time in years of tenancy that we have experienced such a lack of professionalism and transparency from an estate agency.
On Friday 9th we expressed our interest in a flat, we waited 3 days to have confirmation that the offer was accepted from the landlord, THREE, we finally received a confirmation from the estate agent after three days saying that the offer was accepted so we paid the holding deposit in order to BLOCK THE FLAT, paying the holding deposit means:
"Once you have paid the holding deposit, the tenancy is assumed to be agreed subject to referencing. The landlord should not proceed with other tenants, and must not accept any other holding deposits or offers"
We then received a call few hours later the holding deposit was taken where the agent said over the phone: the landlord received another offer from another agency, WOULD YOU LIKE TO OFFER MORE?
In my opinion the offer from the other agency should have not going through at all, second of all, if the landlord has accepted another offer, why did they even propose me to offer more? which game do they play?
No serious at all, very disappoint.
I strongly reccomend to avoid this agency.
Pro-active, professional, friendly and interested in doing a good job. Jo from Dexters is all of these things. A true breath of fresh air and a delight to deal with. She can’t perform magic, no-one can, but she lets you know what she can do and how that’s going. She also gets an awful lot done too. Great liaison between landlord and managing agent. Excellent communication. I’ll stop now.
I didn’t want to mention this situation again, but we are having trouble understanding what he is doing. He’s in a senior position at Dexters. There’s no valid reason to withhold our deposit due to trivial reasons. We are confident in retrieving our deposit through TDS, so we’ve asked Dexters Management to handle it. However, he hasn’t completed the application, citing technical issues with TDS. We contacted TDS and kept a record; they informed us that Dexters hasn’t finished the entire application form and then has been deleted it. We’ve faced numerous issues and delays since November 8th and still haven’t received any updates unless we reach out to him. Could you please ask the Dexters Management team at Queens Gardens to finish the application as soon as possible and provide us with a case number? I want to share the case on my public website, but it hasn’t been updated yet, and I’m getting really frustrated with this unprofessional and poor management. Please provide us with just the number of the case that he can hand over, and we can move on from this horrible nightmare situation. Don’t ask me to email the Dexters customer service team because it hasn’t helped anything, and I want the Dexters customer team to contact him and let him get back to us with just the case number so he can be free. I don’t understand why this is being so silly and unfair to our weak position now. He shouldn’t be able to handle it this way. Again, it’s super clear. We need to get back our deposit, and we have confidence in TDS. So please finish the application process and don’t say it’s getting finished within a timeline. It’s the most unfair situation I’ve ever encountered in my life! Please, Dexters. Cheers
Monika from Dexters Property Management team has been very helpful in chasing the building management company and get things that are under the responsibility of the building management company taken care of. She was also helpful in maintaining communications and update with the landlord and tenants and demonstrate great level of responsiveness to look after the issue with great level of ownership.
Petros Giorganios was always extremely helpful during our tenancy. Although there were quite a few issues with the building he always tried his best to help us. He's been the best person we interacted with from Dexters over the last 2 years of renting from them
