Review summary
Dexters Estate Agents receives consistently positive reviews. Customers particularly appreciate service and professional, though some mention concerns about communication and customer service.
Renting out your home of over 14 years is never easy, logistically or emotionally.
Elizabeth and the team at Dexters have guided us through this journey with professionalism, diplomacy, and efficiency. We’re incredibly grateful for their support and understanding, especially given that the process is rarely straightforward or predictable. Thank you!
Dexters - especially Joshua Anthony - have made the renting process really straightforward. Joshua responds to queries immediately, gets things moving, and keeps you updated - you couldn't ask for more!
Bethan Pike was our property manager and has probably been the most caring and attentive person we've had manage our tenancy. When we ever had issues with the property, she was always responsive and helpful and also managed the end of our tenancy/deposit very well, handling a dispute with our landlord. We've had horrendous experiences with estate agents and private landlords in the past so it's a breath of fresh air to know there are great people out there.
Lottie at Dexters in Surbiton was on the ball, and always called me back if I left a message. She is very helpful and keen, and a great asset to Dexters. I would recommend using Lottie for your next house sale.
Dexters took my flat in march.Despite good Communication weekly they failed to gain any offers.Their strategy seems to be , for you to keep reducing the price.
I appreciate the market is tough but to get a call saying we do not want to sell this flat anymore left me flabbergasted.Clearly must look bad on their stats!
They have removed my listing without any notice period at all.
Such poor service from an agents that claims to be one of the best.
Poor customer show from George and the team at the twickenham sales office.
More than ten of us were made redundant by this company. We previously worked for Howsy until it was acquired by Dexters, and we were fortunate and grateful that Dexters absorbed us after the acquisition. We have been working for them under Q2 HR Solutions (QQI) in the Philippines. However, at the beginning of June, Dexters decided to discontinue outsourcing work offshore, resulting in our redundancy.
The issue is that Q2 HR Solutions (QQI) has not yet provided us with our final pay, which exceeds the time limit allowed by labor laws in the Philippines. Most of us have worked for the company for over four years, dedicating our time and working hard. Based on the information we have gathered, the delay is on Dexters' part, as Q2 HR Solutions is waiting for their approval to honor our tenure. We are simply requesting what we rightfully deserve as mandated by Philippine labor law.
Kindly expedite Q2 HR Solutions (QQI) release of our final pay, as it has already exceeded the timeframe permitted by Philippine labor law. Despite our patience, our queries and concerns have been ignored. We believe it is time to resolve this matter promptly.
I am a commercial property solicitor and usually have no time to leave reviews! However, in this case and on a busy Friday morning I have the pleasure of writing this review for Alistair Maclean at Dexters. Great agent! Assisted in progressing the sale for my client, in a professional and courteous manner. Kept communication open and pleasant. Chased otherside (buyer's solicitor) when needed to. I would recommend Alistair and look forward to working with him again in the near future.
This is the second time I gave a review to this company. Same good service as my previous review. I would like to give a shoutout to the Senior Property Manager, Petros Giorganios, who promptly helped me to fix my apartment closet after a phone to him. The issue was fixed after 2 days of the phone call.
Monika Piszczyk handled the replacement of the boiler in my flat which is being rented out. From the outset, Monika was extremely professional and also had a very affable way about her which made the whole process, which could have been very stressful, manageable. Monika definitely gave me a "sleep easy" factor as I felt very assured that this big and costly project was in good hands. Furthermore, Monika dealt with a post-completion error quickly and with minimal fuss which really sealed it for me.
Very happy with the assistance I received from Neil Plit!
He responded very quickly, was very understanding and helpful. Great communication as well.
Thank you!

If you're a tenant in a property, looking around the market, Dexters will take the information they demand off you before they'll even discuss a property and then use this for their own marketing.
Sending repeated and constant letters to the address, despite you still living there.
The last one today is so ignorant.
"By now you will have received a number of letters from me, which I hope demonstrates my proactive approach".
No, Bobby, it demonstrates that you don't get the message and your letters go straight in the bin.
"I am surprised that a property like yours is still on the market [..]"
Wrong again, Bobby, it is not on the market.
Completely and utterly clueless and borders on harassment. Not a good advertisement for your business. Not just the letters, the assumptions made but also using data provided for another purpose to be used for this reason.
This is in relation to your branch covering SE10.
We've been renting with Dexters for 3 years now and Bailey Strutton has by far been the most helpful person in the office.
When we encountered maintenance issues her response was timely, compassionate and effective - true saviour!
It was 7 1/2 months of utter hell.
It all started with the marketing period. Challenging would be a "nice way of saying it." A buyer was found on the last day of the contract.
I managed the progression for at 80% of the time on my own, learning about conveyancing law, chartered surveying, lender underwriting conditions, national real estate law, ombudsman processes, and more that I should have never had to learn.
Almost 1000 emails, many of which remain unanswered, underscore the difficulty they had in communications. Their selection of mortgage broker and buyers solicitor form made the entire process even worse.
If I knew then what I know now I would have done the whole thing on my own. It was a complete waste of money.
If you're considering selling, my recommendation (based upon my experience) is to not include them in your short list of possible agencies.
I couldn't be happier to see the back of this experience and each one of the actors in this farce. I wouldn't wish this upon anyone.
