Dreadful experience at Stevie Wonder concert on 5/7/25, queued over an hour to get in, only just caught the start of the show-many didn't.
Overpriced drinks and food.
No legroom, packed too tightly in, very cramped and uncomfortable.
Will never return!!
Arrived by car. Parking in pre booked blue area all straightforward. Queue to get in moved fast took about 10 minutes to get in so quick. We arrived fie 6.30 even though Stevie not on stage until 8pm. Plenty of space inside and hardly any queues at bars. Drinks price way too much £9 a pint. Good view of stage in block 112. Excellent concert. On leaving massive queue for ladies toilets. 20 mins to get out of car park. Gridlocked traffic all the to M62 took 1 hour to go 4 miles. Probably would not return. A few years ago my daughter could not get a tram so missed train back to Liverpool so had to pay for a taxi.
Went to see Stevie Wonder who was fantastic the coop however was not will never return. Stairs to seats were dark and steep leg room was tight. No escape route when at the top area. Screen way to small lighting was useless sound was good thanks to Stevie. Price not your every day shop £3.50 can of water disgusting food or the lack of it. No thank you. Staff were nice Stevie amazing venue rubbish come on at the prices charged we surely can do better.
Money making machine!!
We were there at Stevie Wonder’s concert yesterday. The show was great. However, there was no public transport at 11 pm, no trams or buses. People were asked to walk all the way into the Manchester which took more then one hour!!
Bruce springsteen concert Saturday,Sound was awful,Sat at the back of the venue,Couldn't make out what words were being sung and once he started speech on politics it was time to go!Disappointed !
First time visit to the Co-Op Live venue which is always daunting especially with the size of the place but the staff were brilliant and that always helps.
The online building layout maps I found were not very helpful and trying to find out which door you should use to get in was a nightmare as the fingerpost signs were too small and signs over the doors were not clear.
Sound quality was very good, prices at the bar astronomic but overall a positive experience
Warning! Restricted view!!!!!!
Onlly Murs show 8/5/25
Block 319 row 12 were shockingly restricted view to the point we barely seen anything at all apart from legs!!
Had these seats been advertise restricted view I would not of purchase them. I have complained to CO-OP Live but are yet to hear back from them. Very disappointing!
I guess the building is OK BUT the seating is poor, far too cramped, the seats are too small too low very very uncomfortable.the stairway between the seats remains lit during the performance and if you sit at the end the light affects your vision. No screens supporting the show so you need binoculars! Prices of food and drink ridiculously expensive.
I love this arena as it is easy to find your way round and plenty of toilets and friendly and helpful staff. However I went to see Olly Murs last night and whilst the show was amazing there was large speakers which blocked our view in parts of the show. Our tickets were not sold as a restricted view so that was disappointing. My main issue was that there were numerous people vaping throughout the concert and my sister is asthmatic so this was not pleasant for her or any non smokers.
Whenever I visit the co-op store outstanding employee Tanya
Whenever I visit the co-op store, Middle Parkway Leigh Park
It is always spotlessly clean and Tanya is always so helpful and lovely, polite and a asset to your company
£30 for backstage pass with a free drink and it was half a pint 😂 everything far too expensive and I won't be seeing any more gigs here properly put me off.
Attended last night to see Chase & Status. Queue to get in moved very quickly and security were thorough but very organised. Within the event everything seemed very organised, loads of space available and plenty of bars/shops for drinks so the queues weren’t excessive. Drinks were priced as expected for this type of venue. Toilets were kept lovely and clean and didn’t have to queue for them at all during the night which is usually the case with women’s. Staff were all lovely, friendly and extremely helpful. I lost my phone at some point during the night and a member of staff found it and handed it into lost property. I was able to get this back without issues the following day, again all staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
The car parking booking site is appalling. I have paid £25 for parking for Bruce Springsteen and the site not only gave me the wrong date, but also failed to ask for my registration number. Trying to contact them is like trying to split the atom - the number given on their site is for the general Coop and they have no clue what I’m talking about, and the email address sends an auto response saying my change of registration number will be dealt with!! I will be avoiding this venue like the plague in future. Beset with problems doesn’t get anywhere near.
Where do you start with this shambles of a venue!!
Attended for the Andrea Boccelli concert which was top class, sadly the venue was not thousands of people queuing to be funnelled through a double door with unbadged airport style security “which didn’t work properly “ squashed into a seat that incidentally wouldn’t be out of place in a nursery . Seats had been given to someone else initially!! Apart from 3 beer pumps half time concessions were closed toilets filthy and on the way out once again funnelled.out of said double door back into a 4mile snake queue capably organised by the tram squad who seem more intent on you tapping your card than keeping you alive😀 finally got to Piccadilly around 12 . Concert was brill but seriously question going here again.
