I booked a pickup at Paddington station, but after I had made the payment the booking stated Euston as the pickup location. I rang the helpline who insisted that it was my fault (I am completely sure that it was not) and said that they could neither amend nor cancel the booking as it was less than twenty four hours until pickup. The only possibility was to make a second booking. A refund for the first booking would be at their discretion. I would advise you to use a different booking agent.

I have used Carentals.co.uk for many years now. They have consistently provided reliable service at low prices. I have not had a bad expereince in all the years I have used them. Strongly recommended.

First time user of Carrentals.co.uk and was quite sceptical of their service after reading a lot of negative reviews, but went ahead due to their low prices. Booked a Mercedes-Benz GLA or similar through the website with Hertz, and within a few hours I got an email confirmation from Hertz itself which was reassuring and as soon as I logged into the Hertz website I knew then that I was guaranteed to get a vehicle when I land at Heathrow. Hertz gave me a free upgrade to a Volvo XC60 Inscription, which was very nice to drive. I would very much recommend buying the Worry Free insurance package, only cost about £5 per day but was worth it as Hertz charged me £90 for a hairline scratch on an alloy wheel from a minor curbing incident. The refund process was all done via email and relatively painless. I cannot comment on the customer service from carrental.co.uk as I didn't need to call them at any point, but overall, I'm happy with the whole rental process and definitely the price I paid.

Everything went very smoothly. No delay at pick up, car was clean and return arrangements simple and swift. Staff friendly and efficient at both ends Most important - NO subsequent deductions from credit card for spurious reasons such as 'valeting' or 'perceived damage'
