Poor customer service

Cars are cheap. Staff are nice. Shuttle service works well. Only negative our car was very dirty when we picked it up

Please be advised that charging multiple times the real cost for petrol is deceptive. The calculation of the amount of fuel needed to fill the tank was vastly higher than the gauge showed, the price of the fuel was in excess of twice the retail price and there was a substantial refueling fee on top.

Despite the long queue. I was served quite promptly. I was given the key to the vehicle with no staff to show me around. However, I examined the car for any issues before driving off. The car was clean and being a stranger to this model (HAVAL) , I was not able to get the full extent of the car. I would have preferred an introduction and examination by the staff. The car ran well and I returned the car unscathed. Yes I would recommend Bargain., and would definitely rent from Bargain again.

I disliked the fact my bond took a week to return. It should be instant. The vehicle was fine and clean otherwise so no problem with that part of it

I found the vehicle pick-up and drop-off to be very quick and easy. The shuttles were quick without much hanging around and the written directions for finding the shuttle from the terminal were clear. The car was brand new and the staff were happy to answer questions about tolls and the car etc.

Be very careful of getting scammed! We dropped our car off and started walking to the office when one of the workers walked passed us and said he would check the car quickly. Within a minute he came back and said yep there’s a chip on your window, come and look at it. Very suspicious that he found it so quickly. We went over and saw the little chip on the windscreen and mentioned we had a video of the car when we picked it up and luckily you could see the chip in the video. We would have had to pay $5,500 to get the chip fixed even though it wasn’t us!! I told him he needed to note that the car was damaged so the next customer doesn’t get scammed into thinking they had done it. He said it would be going straight in for maintenance… why wasn’t it found last time? Why wasn’t it fixed after the last customer? Such a scam and we are soo lucky we had videoed all around the car. Scammers!

I had a terrible experience with A Bargain Car Rental. I rented a car for two days, and halfway through the first day, a serious engine warning light came on — “Engine fault: service immediately.” I had to cut my trip short and return the car the next morning, wasting time and completely disrupting my plans. But the most shocking part? Despite the car having a known engine fault, they forced me to drive it again to a nearby fuel station to fill it up before returning it. If I didn’t, they said I’d be charged their inflated fuel rates. They knowingly made me drive a car that was potentially unsafe, just to save themselves the cost of fuel. Completely irresponsible and reckless. Then I had to wait around while they processed a replacement vehicle, starting my second day late and wasting even more time. There was no real apology or sense of urgency. This company clearly prioritizes profit over customer safety. Avoid them at all costs.

Although the carpark was very full when we returned our hire car everything else was perfect.

Thank you Bargain, Really great experience. I got a new car for my rental. Affordable and so far staff is nice, they pick up on time and helpful.

Pick up process was smooth and the attendees at the depot were super friendly. Car was clean and met our expectations.

Was not a complete functional car. Did not reduce cost to compensate this and the issue when asked.
