Will never recommend Banning Dental Blackfriars to anyone. I've used them to straighten my teeth with Invisilign as they were the cheapest and heard about Banning Dental before, as being a good place to work and to go to. Can't say everywhere is the same but Blackfriers really disappointed me. There are so many things to write about in detail that I exceeded the character limit. So here is a list: - My first appointment was booked twice, so when I turned up to the second uneccesary appointment, they were wondering why I was there. - The receptionists are nice in person, but can be very condescending over the phone and put the phone down on you when questioned. I have been polite and calm whenever I have needed to talk to them. - The first dentist I had was quite rude to the dental nurse in front of me which is very unproffessional. - I also had to change dentists because the first one made me very uncomfortable and didn't stop when I was in pain. - This dentist also made me use suction on myself which I think is unsafe and completely unacceptable! - I was booked in for a final appointment to get my teeth scanned for my retainer following my treatment, but when I turned up it was only a 15 minute consultation and nothing to do with a scan. - I was then unable to book another appointment with them for a further 5 weeks, prolonging my treatment. - When I finally had my teeth scanned for my retainers, I had asked for them to be delivered to my home address as I lived a fair distance away from the clinic. They never arrived. - I had to chase and complain to find out where they had gone, as the receptionists had given me very conflicting information. - Any correspondance with management over email is quite frustrating as they continually dodge questions you ask them. - The total treatment was prolonged by just over 10 weeks in which I needed to use the same overused retainer. When they are chased and more organised, my final retainer only took two days to arrive which is very frustrating considering the lost time. - They overcharged for postage and have so far given me radio silence about a refund for the difference. - And some other little things I have probably missed, the whole thing has turned into a comedy of errors. Not worth the few thousand pounds I paid. The clinic itself looks brand new and a lot of the other staff look so lovely, so it is such a shame for these things to be letting the team down. Most of the nurses are very kind and I don't want to tar everyone with the same brush. I have had such an amazing experience with my local NHS dentist, and I so rarely post negative reviews for anyone - but I am hoping this will help Banning Dental in Blackfriars to refocus their priorities.

I had a hygienist appointment at Banning in Canning town recently and had a very positive experience. The surgery was modern, and had a well-priced and very thorough clean. Everything was organised well and I received multiple reminders. All the staff were professional and friendly. Highly recommend and will be returning for my next clean!
I have recently visited Banning Dental Group in Canning Town and I was extremely impressed with the services,warm welcome,professional approach and really skilled staff. Definitely recommend.
UPDATE I took Banning to small claims, they failed to attend. The hearing went ahead without them and the judge reviewed the evidence and found that Banning were wrong. Their so called smile trial is not listed in their costs and should never have been charged just because I changed my mind. Nor were their cancellations fees fair or clear. I was then awarded these paid costs back. Be aware. This dentist is not ethical in their practices. Their head office staff are inexperienced and manage complaints terribly. This is been a painful 18 months. I'm just glad I've finally had justice. Now let's see if I can get the money out of them. I have been receiving treatment for composite bonding at the Canning Street facility, and I must say that the entire process has been incredibly frustrating. While the dental doctors are skilled, the administrative staff, receptionists, and management have been extremely poor in their service. Their lack of professionalism has led to me cancelling my final treatment as I can no longer tolerate their subpar level of service. This experience has left me worried that if there are any issues with the bonding itself, resolving them will be a daunting task. You wait ages past your appointment time and for busy working people this is extremely frustrating. I've been going through this process for over 6 weeks now and days away from my actual bonding treatment appointment, and instead of looking forward to my new smile I was so frustrated yet again by their terrible lack of correct and accurate information I've cancelled instead. I would not recommend UPDATE I have been trying to cancel my loan agreement and they have refusing to do this. Their so called complaints officer who now says he's the ops Director is beyond useless. Spends ages on the phone asking you to repeat the same questions. And then does absolutely nothing, after multiple chases through myself and TABEO they still have not formally cancelled my treatment plan and I'm being told by TABEO that I am liable until the clinic authorises the cancellation of the agreement. Which everyone is ignoring to do. I am now taking this practice to the FCA and also dental ombudsmen for malpractice Update, I'm now taking this practice to small claims court. With a hearing in May

I Had some implants recently from Banninng, and these things don’t always go perfectly every time, not anyone’s fault but I had a small issue with one them, which could have been a problem if not sorted! And sorted it was. I called Blackfriars at 09.00, called back quickly with a resolution, visited and fixed by 12.15 same day! And all with a smile (excuse the pun) Service, communication and care was exceptional. Not sure you would get that in Turkey?……when you live near London
UPDATE2: After this review Dr XXX changed his surname on banning website. UPDATE1: After a complaint to trust pilot by banning dental group I had to remove the name of the main surgeon of Banning dental group. Just some facts for the readers: Dr xxxxx the main surgeon of Banning and Bupa 1. We spent 2 months and 4 visits for doctor XXX to come up with a treatment plan. 2. The total cost for the treatment was 23 000 GBP 3. When first payment was due to be collected I have asked for Dr.XXX professional indemnity insurance this is the answers I get: "I spoke to Dr. XXX and he's feeling reluctant to go ahead with the treatment because there seems to be a loss of faith in the provisions of the treatment plan. Therefore, in this occasion Dr. Xxx has recommended that you do not proceed with the proposed treatment plan as Dr. Xxx insurance cannot be liable for the treatment." When explained that I just want to see Dr xxx professional indemnity insurance not insurance for my treatment this is the answers I get: "As previously mentioned, Dr. Xxx is reluctant to start your treatment as Dr. Xxx doesn't need to or have to provide you with a copy of his indemnity insurance certificate. "Again, when I spoke to Dr. Xxx, he feels that there's either been a loss of trust or faith on the provisions of the treatment plan and has decided that he does not want to complete your treatment plan." After some googling I have discovered that: Main Surgeon for Banning and Bupa XXX 1. LIVING in Portugal 2. His business is in forced liquidation by the creditors. Think twice before you go to Banning... Especially when you read the response of the owner below Good luck
