Hi insuring with axa online was quite simple but i had a small issue and could have used some help over a phone but couldn't find a phone number to call i did sort it apart from the small issue it was fairly easy
We have been under claim for subsidence caused by our neighbours trees since July 2022, still no resolution in sight, multiple inspectors sent, differing reports, opinions on causes, scope and cost of repairs etc. This has turned into a 3 year saga of utter incompetence, total dissolution, and intolerable stress. Have had to pay for independent engineers that conclude nothing has been done correctly, even the process of monitoring to measure the movement of the house is incorrect and pointless. WHY!!! Be warned.

It was quite a smooth procedure and easy to follow just one thing I found annoying once I got all my boxes ticked the further I got into the document some choices seemed to disappear like named driver and I was constantly going back to check that I had applied it ,it would have been easier if everything was always included and you can be sure you haven’t missed anything important.

Usually I call for changes as like to speak to human being. However due to admin charges used the portal and found it very straight forward and easy.

Firstly, courtesy car is only provided if your car is being repaired, not if it a total loss and in the pound waiting to be collected by the third party AXA uses called CoPart. Advice - ditch copart. They have an SLA of 3-5 working days from collecting the vehicle to confirming the settlement. But it takes them 2 weeks to collect the vehicle! Copart then gave me a settlement quote significantly below AXA so had to ‘negotiate’ it up albeit not to what AXA initially provided. AXA washed their hands of my claim, didn’t return my emails in the expected ‘5 business days’. I had to chase for an update on my claim as no one was keeping me informed on where it is, just went into a one month black hole. In the meantime I’m cancelling important medical appointments and putting my life on hold. AXA used to have great empathy and customer service, not sure what’s happened to change the culture. Update: AXA swiftly contacted me and fully investigated the matter. Found there were faults on their side and offered compensation.
