I’m definitely not happy with how things have turned out. To keep it brief, my car was involved in a hit-and-run accident. Thankfully, I managed to get CCTV footage from my neighbours, which clearly showed that someone else caused the damage. I sent my car to Co-Part for inspection, where it was valued at £2,900. The car was written off, but I was never shown any photos or evidence of the inner frame damage. At that time, I still had about 10 months left on my insurance policy. I was told that I only had one month to replace the vehicle, so I went ahead and did so—I didn’t want to lose the money I’d already paid for a year’s insurance. Here’s what happened next: I bought a new car and insured it with the same company. My old car was insurance group 17, and the replacement is group 22. I was asked to pay an extra £340 on top of my existing premium. I’d already paid about £550 for my previous car—does it really cost £340 just to move from group 17 to group 22?For real? That seems unreasonable to me, especially since I’m the same driver with the same no-claims discount. It honestly feels like you robbed my money. To make matters worse, the operator I spoke to on the phone couldn’t have been less helpful. He showed no empathy and gave no explanation—he simply said, “You can buy a different policy if you’re not happy with what the system quoted you.” For real?
Good value car insurance
Bought a car insurance and is renewing tomorrow midnight but no details been emailed and no policy online when I log in !!?? Money gone from account and as is late in evening nobody to contact. Not at all impressed.

After a delay getting through and having to listen to a lengthy Ts & Cs message, the staff member resolved my issue in a prompt and efficient manner. Note that it makes all the difference dealing with people who speak English as their first language.
