Amy made sure that our holiday was tailored to our needs. Her knowledge of the area meant that she knew which areas would be better and less likely to be cancelled e.g Mount Cook glacier rather that Franz Josef. The amount of booked excursions was just right, leaving us chance to book our own trips on the days with nothing planned.

We have just booked our Honeymoon through Sophie Green at Audley travel and could not recommend her enough! She was so thorough and consultative throughout our initial conversation and it really felt like she wanted to make this trip as special as possible for us! We have just booked and now can't wait to have our Honeymoon in October! Thank you for all your help Sophie!

The holiday and trip of a lifetime. Tash was our Audley Angel and planned everything so perfectly for us. Every detail was taken care of. It’s so difficult choosing a safari from the thousands out there, and Tash delivered our dream holiday to us in every aspect. She meticulously plans all, even the small stuff you wouldn’t think about! I would not hesitate to recommend Tash to anyone.

What a fantastic company to deal with. The process was great from start to finish. Tara, our contact listened to our interests and tailored our holiday perfectly. We had a multi centre holiday, with a flight, train and private car involved, and everything was well organised, and ran smoothly without any issues. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Audley. We are so pleased with the service, that we plan to use them again for our next big trip later on this year!

My wife and I spoke to Chris, ‘a China Specialist’, on the phone last Friday and asked to quote for two weeks China visit on a tailor made holiday. We discussed our itinerary and various items. Fair enough but in the middle of conversation he abruptly told us that he had to attend to another incoming call and promised will get back to us soon with details. Five days later, we did receive a call of apology, that was appreciated, followed by an email giving the information we wanted. Unfortunately it was too late as we were already in dealing with another provider.

I called up yesterday to enquire about a 2-3 week trip to Japan for my daughter's 18th and son's 16th birthday. On the online chat they asked for all my details, name, budget (which was £10k in total), time of travel etc. Then they said someone would call me to discuss. I assumed they had been passed these details but apparently they hadn't as the guy asked for all these details again. Then he tried to dissuade me from going to Japan in July as it wasn't in season even though he wasn't the specialist. Then he said because we're not spending £5000 per person he refused to forward me on to someone who could help me with the Japan trip. Absolutely awful experience and I'm hoping due to GDPR you're not holding onto my personal data for longer than is necessary, which was 10 minute pointless phone conversation. When I am able to spend £5k per person, which according to the guy is the lower limit they'll accept, I will definitely not be using you lot after the way I've been treated.

Robyn Hutchons of Audley Travel put together a perfect experience for us. She listened carefully to our brief and delivered over and above our expectations. Audley offer a really tailored service and their experienced staff know their destinations really well. Their partners in South Africa, Ilios, were fantastic too. Before our trip we were fully briefed via Zoom on what to expect and the travel itinerary 'filofax' provided is excellent. Everything ran like clockwork and we felt looked after all the way. The standards of accommodation, transport, meet and greets were top notch. The highlight was Bateleur Safari Camp, I don't have enough superlatives to describe our time there. Thanks Robyn, you were great!

I opted for independent travel in Japan with an old friend, in November 2024, rather than group travel. Our experience with AudleyTravel- UK was simply 5 star! Right from the time we started planning the details of the trip, like where to go, and how long to stay in each place, to the many journeys by train across vast areas of Japan for 3 weeks - it was totally smooth and certainly without any stresses or confusion, despite not knowing a word of Japanese. The journey was very well planned. All our reservations in hotels were very good and the hotels were central in the cities and towns we visited. All our train tickets for our numerous journeys and even a pocket wi-fi, were handed to us on arrival at the airport. The detailed daily travel instructions , were extremely helpful and informative. We could either use our fantastic printed and beautifully filed instructions, or we could just get it all online. Access to Audley's local partners in Japan was also very easy. When we had a mix-up with the type of room given in one hotel, the issue was resolved very satisfactorily in less than 10 minutes by Audley's local partners. The suggestions given by my agent to visit places in Japan were also excellent - she obviously listened to my interests and preferences carefully . The local guides booked by Audley Travel, were very knowledgeable and helpful, and we saved lots of time as a result and saw and learnt much more with their help then we would have done without a guide. I was very impressed with the high standards of service I experienced from Audley Travel - UK and in Japan.

First time using a travel company rather than booking independently . Also first time in South Africa . Andy Freeman guided and advised us in all of our choices for this 4 centre adventure . We asked for a taste of SA , which incorporated , City , Rural , History , Safari and beach stays . All suggested hotels / lodges were fantastic and private transfers made the whole trip worry free . So many little extras we weren’t expecting , for example one hotel didn’t charge Audley clients for beef ! . The test of good service is when the unexpected happens , for health reasons and a cancelled BA flight , we had to change separately both our Safari location, and our departure date. Both matters were dealt with promptly, professionally and with good humour by Andy . Thank you Andy and Audley for your vigilance and sound advice, we banked so many wonderful memories on this trip .

Efficient, informative, proactive -trip exceeded expectations!

I wanted to book a family holiday (6 people) to Australia for Christmas and New Year. We had three birthdays to celebrate and wanted to make it special. I had been recommended Audley by a friend, so I spoke to their team, who were really accommodating and helped me set the itinerary. The holiday itself was amazing – the flights, tours, and hotels were organised brilliantly, and everything was so well planned by the Audley team. I would like to give a special mention to Charlotte Cooper, who was our main contact. She worked tirelessly to make sure everything was perfect and is a credit to the Audley team. I spent the whole journey home planning the next trip and wouldn’t hesitate to call Charlotte and Audley to plan my next holiday. Thanks again, Paul

I cannot recommend Dickie Ashcroft and the Audley team highly enough. We had a large multi-generational family trip to Kenya to celebrate a milestone birthday. It was truly a trip of lifetime and we were so grateful for everything Audley did to make it so very special. The care and attention was so evident at every turn. We never had to worry at any moment about anything. It was seamless from the moment we booked with Audley to the very last minute of boarding the plane home. Each place we stayed was more special than the last and all the guides and hosts were outstanding. They are experts in their field and know the best places to go and created a truly spectacular trip of a lifetime.

I contacted Audley Travel to help in planning a trip to Milan in May. We were contacted by Sage Waterson. We had a video conference. She answered all of our questions. In the end, she came up with three plans. These plans were great, but after really going over the plans, we decided that at our age of 78, the trip would be too much for us to handle. We are embarrassed that we didn't think through our capabilities before we wasted Sage's time and effort. It was our decision that we had requested a trip that we were not able to safely do. I would use Audley travel again and would be happy to work with Sage at any time. This is all on us and our over estimation about how we are able to travel overseas. I recommend the agency and Sage.

When I went on Audley the first time to Sicily and the Amalfi Coast everything worked out fine. I went with them to Japan and thought I would have the same experience but there was a lot of misunderstanding. I wanted a easy transportation and mostly guided tour. The agent neglected to tell me this was a semi-independent tour. I ended up paying a lot of expenses for travel that were unexpected. The trains were a nightmare in terms of logistics. The local operators that were supposed to help me with issues were useless. It was difficult to communicate with Audley in USA because of the time difference and no help on the week ends. Some of the hotel booked had meals included but they were inedible. So caveat emptor. I won't travel with Audley again.

Travelling with Audley was next to none. The customer service both pre-trip and during the trip was faultless. They designed the perfect itinerary for our honeymoon based on our requirements, they gave us the exact right level of information and choices without overwhelming us. Couldnt recommend them more.

We booked a week in Japan for 9 people through Audley, Manon was attentive to the diversity of our group and organised an itinerary that included great hotels and the opportunity to get a flavour of the main sites, including thanks to half a day with Rory Dent, his passion for Japanese history was contagious.

We planned to visit New Zealand in February organised by Amy Waters at Audley. Sadly a few weeks before our holiday my mum became very ill and I had to cancel. My mum sadly died in March. Amy was absolutely amazing and took all the stress out of the situation. She rebooked the trip for November December. The trip catered for all our requirements including fabulous accommodation, restaurant suggestions and free time suggestions, white water rafting, Jet boating, glacier exploration, dolphin observing and swimming and great flights and transfers. Audley are second to none and if planning a trip to New Zealand Amy is exceptional. I can highly recommend Audley and Amy
