Nous avions reservé 3 voitures sur internet avec assurance pour un séjour toscan,les conductrices avaient bien fait la démarche de se munir comme demandé d'une carte de crédit mais à notre arrivée,aucune des trois n'a pu récupérer la voiture louée au prétexte que les dites cartes(pourtant provenant de banques différentes) n'étaient pas reconnues !!!Au final et après 2 h perdues en appels divers,nous avons dû payer 223 euros par voiture en supplément des sommes déjà versées pour pouvoir disposer des véhicules!
Agence de Pise à fuire. Nous étions un groupe de 13 à louer 3 voitures. Tout était payé sur internet avec assurance totale et nous avons été « pris en otage »: soit nous payions 223€ en plus par voiture soit on ne nous donnait pas les véhicules et l’argent déjà engagé était perdu. Dans l’urgence pas d’autre choix que de les leur payer. Je déconseille: allez ailleurs!

Efficient, quick service
Avoid using. Go to any other car rental company as they’re all using the same companies in various locations anyway. Appalling customer service. Pre paid for a car rental, but when we got there they enforced arbitrary terms and refused to provide a car that had been paid for. Of the 4 groups trying to rent a car, 3 of us were refused and returned to the airport and ended up using a different company. ArgusCarHire were no help at all, so the money I paid to them, I can’t get back even though I didn’t use their service. It ruined a whole day of a 4 day trip, and our contact for our accommodation said she’s heard about this happening many times in Madeira, so they clearly don’t care about what companies they work with, or do anything about regular complaints concerning the same issues. Find someone else so you don’t lose your money too.

Very annoyed with this company. We hired 2 cars from a company called centauro via argus based on what was a very reasonable weekly charge. However when we arrived at the centauro desk we were told we had to pay the very expensive excess insurance 200euros times 2 because the 2 drivers didnt have a credit card only debit cards. I offered my creditcard but this was not accepted even though I had paid for both cards. I had already paid for excess insurance separately at a fraction of the cost but in effect I was left to pay twice. The man at the desk was totally unhelpful. I rang argus who initially were open to the idea of me becoming one of the drivers which would have reduced the cost of one of the cars because I could then use my credit card for one of the cars but they still wanted to charge me £50+ for this. However unaccountably after trying this I was told by argus they could not do this. I just advise others to be very wary of this company and centauro. Just to add there was another couple who also fell foul of the same problem as us at the same time-they had hired a car at minimal cost just to get them to their hotel and back. They couldnt stomach paying the extra 200 euros and decided to ditch the car and get a taxi instead- it made more sense to them to lose what they had already paid than shell out for the totally unreasonable excess charge when you can buy the same online for about £35 for the week.
Still awaiting confirmation on a booking where I'm flying later today. Would not have used them if I knew they needed 2 days to confirm if you actually have a car (they take your money straight away though). No way to contact them and if I now cancel I'll get charged a fee?
Smooth process from booking to pickup. Competitive prices and Airport location. The one thing that I didn’t like and it’s the same with all car hire companies is the extra insurance cover and if not purchased large excess on credit card. By law companies cannot let a vehicle on the road without adequate insurance cover.

The service was quite good, the fact you use whatsapp to send all the relevant info and to answer questions in a rapid way also helped a lot. Couldnt ask for much more to be honest.
Staff very efficient and helpful. And car was almost new (only had 4000 km on the clock)
Die Kaution für das gemietete Fahrzeug in Höhe von 1.845,-- @ wurde, obwohl kein Grund vorhanden war, der Kreditkarte belastet, somit vom Bankkonto abgebucht. Zu Hause erst festgestellt. Nach mehreren Rückfragen per e-mail kam die Antwort, dass kein Betrag mehr offen sei. Das Geld haben wir bis heute, nach mittlerweile 5 Wochen nicht zurückbekommen. Unser Geldinstitut arbeitet noch daran. Sonst bleibt nur der Rechtsweg.
All very easy
A companhia aérea teve um atraso e no balcão de aluguer da viatura informaram que não haveria problema porque estariam abertos. Acontece que quando lá cheguei estava encerrado e não entregaram a viatura. Depois de apresentar a reclamação informam que não têm responsabilidade. Enganam os clientes e não são sérios.
