Excellent Service
I cannot fault the service I received from Rachel Mack. She went that extra mile to ensure that she was able to offer me exactly what I wanted from my river cruise choice. I had many questions and requirements which she dealt with in a friendly, helpful manner whilst remaining professional at all times. It was a pleasure to deal with her, she is a credit to APT.

Fabulous boat, wonderfull holiday.
Fabulous boat, immaculately maintained, excellent ports of call, enthusiastic and informative Tour Director, plenty of food and drink, ( though served by less than enthusiastic staff, no eye contact, little rapport ). Overall, an exceptionally good trip. We would strongly recommend APT to anyone considering a small motor yacht cruise.,

Water levels in the Danube
The AMAVenita was a 5 star experience with a well appointed ship and really friendly and helpful staff. Unfortunately due to water levels in the Danube we had to switch ships to the AMA Reina where things were not so good and hence the 3 stars. If we had started on the AMA Reina we would probably have been satisfied although not overwhelmed by the facilities. For example on the AMA Venita, the cabin air on was excellent, there was a reading light by the beds, there were 2 power points, a soft close toilet seat and a valance round the bed, we had none of these on the AMAReina. Little things but they made a bid difference and added to the overall experience. The bar staff on both ships were great however the restaurant staff on the AMAReina were definitely less friendly. The Cruise director was excellent and she did a marvellous job all round, given the circumstances and everyoneβs dis-satisfaction with the new ship she always had a smile and a soothing word.

It was sold as APT
It was sold as APT , but actually TRAVELMARVEL which is a lower quality tour. Food was sound but uninspired. Cooks rather than chefs. Breakfast times started to clear up at 0845 when times was given at 7.30 to 09.00. Wine was average and seemed to be rationed at mealtimes. Staff/Crew were very good. Tour Director excellent (Dave Godfrey).Long time at sea.

Slightly disappointed
This trip-in our view was not the APT standard which we expected. At no stage we were going with Travel Marvel. Never heard of them before.

Professional and courteous staff
Professional and courteous staff on both the Vega and the Polaris (we had to change ships mid cruise due to low water levels) There was a good choice and presentation of food, however, on our 2 week cruise the menu was repeated.Comfortable and clean accommodation. Great excursions well explained and co-ordinated by Andrew the cruise director.
