I cannot fault the service I received from Rachel Mack. She went that extra mile to ensure that she was able to offer me exactly what I wanted from my river cruise choice. I had many questions and requirements which she dealt with in a friendly, helpful manner whilst remaining professional at all times. It was a pleasure to deal with her, she is a credit to APT.
Very high quality fabulous cruise.
Fabulous boat, immaculately maintained, excellent ports of call, enthusiastic and informative Tour Director, plenty of food and drink, ( though served by less than enthusiastic staff, no eye contact, little rapport ). Overall, an exceptionally good trip. We would strongly recommend APT to anyone considering a small motor yacht cruise.,

There are many things that went to make this a memorable river cruise. All staff were friendly and smiling all the time. The food choice and quality was superb. The trips away from the boat were excellent and very informative. The only negative point was the transit from Bucharest airport to the boat was affected by traffic delays and in the end we had to go to the boat on the Bulgaria side as the boat had already transited across the river. There was a significant delay across the Friendship bridge and we did not finally board the boat till 21:30. However the crew were very good and we were whisked away for dinner and we picked up our room keys after dinner. Whilst not a good start, the cruise wax still excellent. The BA flight arrived 20 minutes early although there was a delay in getting the luggage. We noticed the BA flight now arrives some two hours latter than schedule a couple of weeks ago. If APT had recognised this we should have gone straight to the Bulgarian point. The driver of the coach spoke no English so all the passengers were in the dark to what was happening.

I would give a 4.5 if I could, because there were only two minor points which stopped a five out of five. Firstly to be clear, every staff member on board from the Captain down, from reception, to housekeeping, bar, restaurant, entertainment, guides ship staff and management were outstanding at all times. Also the food provided was excellent at all times. They all deserve a 5 out of 5. My only minor issues were: 1. After a really hot and sweaty day of walking around on a guided tour, I would have preferred a nice cooling plunge pool on the upper deck rather than warming up even more in the hot tub that is actually on the upper deck. 2. There was a bar area on the upper deck which was used for storage, but no bar service available on the upper deck. I accept these are minor issues, thus a 4.5 out of 5, but to reiterate, every individual we met was a credit to the company and should be commended on their hard work and dedication in ensuring the outstanding experience we encountered.

The ship, the crew & food were excellent but I was put off by other guests: 1. They do not change for dinner. 2. They turned for dinner in shorts, t-shirts & flip flops, the same clothes they’ve been wearing all day. 3. They took off their footwear in the lounge after dinner & we’ve to put up with the foul smell. 4. They picked up food with their fingers at buffet, locked their fingers & then moved on to the next dish

Initially when I booked I assumed that it was actually on APT cruise and not travel marvel. The staff were great but the passengers were a bit scruffy . Fancy sitting next to passengers straggling in for dinner with shorts, sweaty T-Shirts and smelly feet with flip flops!!! Although already mentioned by the cruise director on dress code, it was still ignored Food for dinner were not great. On some evenings it was appalling especially the main course. .

Appalling weather but you did well to still run the cruise, give us refreshments. We got very, very wet and cold and saw very little but not your fault and thank you for trying!

Booking the cruise was relatively easy, it was only our card provider being vigilant that meant I needed to call APT to confirm payment but whilst I was on the phone they were able to sort out our flights in a helpful and efficient way. Great friendly staff.

The organisation worked well from airport to airport. The staff were excellent always willing to help. The accommodation was very good, comfortable beds good washroom, plenty of storage. The meals were good with big portions at times.

We had a wonderful APT river cruise down the Douro recently. Staff couldn’t be kinder, and the service was excellent The food was of good quality and variety. The rooms and showers kept beautifully clean and tidy. Loved the daily tours and the cruising time on board. We highly recommend this company

When we finally got to speak to someone it was great. A problem occurred with the first booking and we left messages to be called back, but initially it didn’t happen. I left a third message and someone called back, after that it was great. Spoke to Anton and he was very helpful.

Cabin bathroom a bit small. Too much time on coaches then not enough time in the excursion area. More choice needed on dinner menu. Staff should clear plates when everyone on the table has finished. Staff were very pleasant. The excursion staff were lovely and knowledgeable
