I cannot fault the service I received from Rachel Mack. She went that extra mile to ensure that she was able to offer me exactly what I wanted from my river cruise choice. I had many questions and requirements which she dealt with in a friendly, helpful manner whilst remaining professional at all times. It was a pleasure to deal with her, she is a credit to APT.
Very high quality fabulous cruise.
Fabulous boat, immaculately maintained, excellent ports of call, enthusiastic and informative Tour Director, plenty of food and drink, ( though served by less than enthusiastic staff, no eye contact, little rapport ). Overall, an exceptionally good trip. We would strongly recommend APT to anyone considering a small motor yacht cruise.,

This was our first river cruise and has set the bar high. We were on Travelmarvel Vega ship which is just lovely. Cabins cleverly designed with lots of storage and a great shower! Staff were extremely helpful, polite and always smiling. Rowland, Cruise Director was hands on and was everywhere making sure things were running smoothly. Excursions ran to plan, despite Christophers Festival (Pride) and Eco protestors gluing themselves to roads on disembarkation day! Excursion guides were knowledgeable with a sense of humour. Food was plentiful and varied (we only cruised for 1 week of a 2 week cruise). We had a great time and wouldn't hesitate to book with Travelmarvel (APT) again. Just a little suggestion - perhaps written instructions on how to work the safe is a good idea, then people wouldn't have to bother the staff to show them how it works on a busy embarkation day.

Spotlessly clean ship, friendly staff and good meals. Good choice of excursions with knowledgable guides and excellent coach drivers. Small disappointment seeing L’Occitaine cosmetics, as this company still supplies to Russia, given the Ukraine situation.

The effort made by all the staff on both the Capella and AmStella were 1st class. We were transferred to the AmStella for the second week due to low river water. The company did all it could and more to organise the transfer, which involved a lot of organisation. The second ship would be all inclusive to compensate for the disruption to passengers. Packing a case and a 4 hour transfer coach journey to a luxury all inclusive ship....we ran to the coach 😁. I assume the moaners were teatotal!! Both ships were beautifully decorated and the luxury cabin came with a full balcony. Lots of extra excursions and still some professional moaners weren't pleased. The food in both ships was good and well presented. I did expect a little bit more high end dishes on the luxury ship but perhaps our 2 weeks provisions were transferred with us. I must say that comparing my first river cruise to the past ocean going large vessels are two completely different experiences. Good and not so good on both sides but I would definitely say ocean cruises are better value, especially in the food department re quality and choice. River cruises are so relaxing and passenger friendly if you wish to find new friends on board. Only downside on the ship was the constant moaning passengers.....down to only 2 towels hooks and not 3 as they hung their nighties on the other 2. You have to laugh I suppose. Thanks you to all at APT travel, you please most of the passengers all of the time and take the negative comments with a large pinch of salt.

Friendly efficient wonderful staff, excellent food, very enjoyable site seeing trips. An overall excellent holiday would have been happy to have done the whole trip again we throughly enjoyed the whole experience

I enjoyed the comfort of the cabin,the delicious food, the visits to stop-off places and the sense of being on Europe's great watery thoroughfare. The guides were excellent so knowledgeable about the culture and history of the places they were accompanying us to. I appreciated the consideration given for different walking speeds for tours on foot. Also the provision of head-phones to hear the commentaries. The only thing I would have liked was quiet space after dinner to read, talk or play card games Met some lovely people from the antipodes. Thank you!

Onboard staff very friendly and competent. Food excellent, wine very good. 24 hour coffee mediocre. Fresh milk for tea and coffee would be nice. Trips very good, however customers should be informed that there are other excellent attractions to visit. ie. on our cruise Wurzburg Palace interior. Have mentioned to UK staff and cruise staff about non arrival of back packs etc. (this was our 2nd trip). Items were promised, but not delivered.

Food not good and very little of it I think we where in a care home.also on the amastella no fresh fruit also no bacon,tomatoes for breakfast and no pancakes.did not live up to my expectations need urgently to look at menu's 14 days no steak and only one single little prawn what a joke consommé I had one night was excellent, one night for dessert only ice cream or cheese was offered, and foe that captain's table very poor food cold.there was a barbecue on the first ship was never used.NOw for the arrogant cruise director hopeless the fridge on the first ship froze all my huminsulin he did not care lots of passengers complaining about him then the hotel manager heard me complaining to him for the forth day he called me over and said what's the problem I told him and he made one call and said it will be hear by 16.30pm, he was first class.as for the entertainment two singer's 3here very good but I think they where playing in a working man club with there dress code and they followed us on to the new ship.Now apart from all that the staff must be the best in the world you as a company are so lucky to have them.why do you push the hairdresser salon and the spa only found by accident. The captain emergency drill on the first ship was a joke it was obviously he was not interested in doing it and that seaman had no idea on how to put on a life jacket still waiting to hear the passenger alarm never work,on the second ship I said to the captain about the cleanliness of hid ship also they where in proper uniform it was a pleasure to see. No doubt I will hear no more about.by the way this was my fourth river cruise.now you asked for the truth. Regards David
