Excellent Service

I cannot fault the service I received from Rachel Mack. She went that extra mile to ensure that she was able to offer me exactly what I wanted from my river cruise choice. I had many questions and requirements which she dealt with in a friendly, helpful manner whilst remaining professional at all times. It was a pleasure to deal with her, she is a credit to APT.

Fabulous boat, wonderfull holiday.

Fabulous boat, immaculately maintained, excellent ports of call, enthusiastic and informative Tour Director, plenty of food and drink, ( though served by less than enthusiastic staff, no eye contact, little rapport ). Overall, an exceptionally good trip. We would strongly recommend APT to anyone considering a small motor yacht cruise.,

The Douro cruise was very disappointing…

The Douro cruise was very disappointing as the food on board was well below the normal standard - what was on the menu often bore no resemblance to what was served. It was poorly cooked and unimaginative. Vegetarians fared even worse.

Excellent and efficient service

The service provided was excellent. We appreciate the friendly service and the efficiency with which our booking was handled. We called to make enquiries and ended our call with a booked holiday, special requests dealt with confirmation received. We are now very much looking forward to the trip.

We booked our APT trip with Anton in the reservations team. Anton was really helpful and researched different stopover options for us. He was very patient and flexible when we changed our minds and sorted out new options for us. The process was very efficient and stress free

Well looked after from the moment we arrived to when we were dropped off back at the airport to home. The hotels rooms were all large and comfortable and our freedom if choice options excellent

I am not one for giving gushing reviews…

I am not one for giving gushing reviews but the service from your agent, Claudette, was exceptional. She carefully went through all the flight options, gave me plenty of time to consider them, adding a few helpful suggestions along the way. I am really pleased with the final outcome and congratulate you on a level of customer service not often found in today's hurried world.

We enjoyed the holiday overall but room for improvement.

We enjoyed the holiday overall. The organisation aspect was not as good as we had come to expect from our numerous previous APT trips. The tour directors in Madrid and Lisbon didn't keep us as well informed as they should. I think this was because they were not receiving everything they needed from the support team. The crew on the ship were really good. They were very cheerful and couldn't do enough to help. The kitchen and waiting staff worked very well as a team. The soups were exceptional. Maria was a good tour director on the ship. The ship was often moored in remote locations. As an example the last day had the ship moored with a long walk for passengers and crew moving luggage up a very steep ramp and walking several hundred meters to the coach. Having a red and green group didn't really work. It created a them and us with two tour directors working against each other at times. The lady of the green group was quite rude at times and told members of our group once to go away when they asked a simple question. Perhaps the biggest complaint I have is about paying for a level 3 deck cabin to find that the lower level cabins had exactly the same foot print. We also missed things like a drink on return from an excursion, and hot towels for our hands; waiter service in the bar had no straws for drinks. No free laundry, canapés or butler service we have had in the past. These elements that previously demonstrated luxury we expect were missing on this trip. A little disappointing.
