I cannot fault the service I received from Rachel Mack. She went that extra mile to ensure that she was able to offer me exactly what I wanted from my river cruise choice. I had many questions and requirements which she dealt with in a friendly, helpful manner whilst remaining professional at all times. It was a pleasure to deal with her, she is a credit to APT.
Very high quality fabulous cruise.
Fabulous boat, immaculately maintained, excellent ports of call, enthusiastic and informative Tour Director, plenty of food and drink, ( though served by less than enthusiastic staff, no eye contact, little rapport ). Overall, an exceptionally good trip. We would strongly recommend APT to anyone considering a small motor yacht cruise.,

The cruise was a disaster right from the beginning. Because of the flooding it was not possible to sail but the handling of our Groupe was bad as well. The offer of 40% off for the next cruise sounds nice but we live in Canada so that is no option. We rather see a refund of part of the total we paid. We sailed ONLY 2 days!
Very bad customer relationship. Once purchase completed we did not practically hear anything from our sales representative, not even the itinerary (or the revised one) till just before the trip. We were not advised on the extent of the debris problems on Danube. The only information given was that our boat is on it's way until the very last moment when they advised us it is being changed. Even once boarded in Munich instead of Nuremberg the news was that we shall be sailing any time. That day never came until the very end of the trip. We were advised just before the trip on the evening of the 18th that we could opt for cancelation as a consequence of the flooding and debris, when a good number of us had already started our journey to Nuremberg or were already there. For the price paid, we could have stayed in a five star hotel with much better food and no restrictions. APt's representative on board was well below average in terms us communication and manner informing the daily events.
Excational service very impresssed, no change just keek it up.
I enjoyed my holiday because I was meeting up with my school friends. The food was very good and the service also very good. I realise it was very difficult for you over the floods and locks not working and you did your best to supply some of the excursions anyway. I feel if a representative had been on the case having realised the boat was not going up to Nuremberg you could have booked us all to fly to Vienna especially as BA cancelled our flight and sent us off to Brussels instead rather than a whole day on the coach and I was disappointed as we were at Nuremberg we did not get to see the sights there. Another reason why I feel I should get a refund is having paid extra for a balcony we were unable to use it because of being next to another boat and actually had to keep our curtains drawn so as not to be overlooked. I request a refund for that. Something off later is not encouraging me to try again when if things go wrong I am not compensated for it. Looking forward to your reply Susan OSULLIVAN
We we stuck in Vienna for 5nights and did not move. The staff were very nice. Food was good.
Excellent tour guide from APT Mr To Boat was comfortable and excellent staff especially in the restaurant Nice friendly group of fellow travellers ( all Australian) Can’t fault it .Came back and have already booked another holiday with APT That says it all !!
Liked the hotels in Madrid and Lisbon. The ship was nothing special, I have been on better ones. Cabin small, no shop, etc. Carpet in lounge was worn in places, which made it look unclean. (Couldn’t believe it was just the third journey for the ship) Wasn’t impressed with “Welcome, getting to know other travellers” evening. Food was average, but soups were special! Staff were pleasant and hardworking. I enjoyed all the tours. There was only one really good guide. One of the other guides was downright rude! After the “farewell dinner” we had to wait in the street a long time before our coach arrived to take us back to our hotel. On the last two days of the cruise the ship was moored a long way from the coach. There was a very steep ramp which had to be climbed as well. On the day we disembarked the staff had to take our luggage up the very steep ramp, which I thought was unacceptable.
The service and attention to detail is what made this a great holiday. Everything was included so we did'nt have to worry about all the little things like tipping. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We would definitely go again with APT.
The mooring in Porto was a long way from the centre of the city which was disappointing. All visits required coach journeys, in one case about 2 hours each way. In fairness the use of coaches is a feature of any Douro cruise. On the plus side the staff, food and ship were excellent. The allocation of customers to coaches was particularly good with one of the three coaches nominated for slow walkers and coloured cards used to ensure equal numbers in each coach. Of particular note was the ability to drop off suitcases before the scheduled boarding time and have a light lunch. At the end of the cruise although we had to vacate the cabin by 9.00am we were able to stay on board until 2.00pm and have a light lunch.
