Excellent Service
I cannot fault the service I received from Rachel Mack. She went that extra mile to ensure that she was able to offer me exactly what I wanted from my river cruise choice. I had many questions and requirements which she dealt with in a friendly, helpful manner whilst remaining professional at all times. It was a pleasure to deal with her, she is a credit to APT.

Fabulous boat, wonderfull holiday.
Fabulous boat, immaculately maintained, excellent ports of call, enthusiastic and informative Tour Director, plenty of food and drink, ( though served by less than enthusiastic staff, no eye contact, little rapport ). Overall, an exceptionally good trip. We would strongly recommend APT to anyone considering a small motor yacht cruise.,

It feels like it is quite some time…
It feels like it is quite some time since APT did a quality audit on the ground. I think you should do one. The captain's decision grants him immunity, I get it. But he didn't explain his decision with any credibility. We are not going to Dubrovnic a) for health and safety reasons, then b) because it's too choppy and too high waves), then c) because the harbour there is full. Sadly for us, a) there was nothing more or less hazardous about Dubrovnic than anywhere else on this trip, b) if anything, the sea was smoother and calmer than on any previous day and c) the harbour looked empty, in any event, a lot emptier than on any previous night in much smaller harbours. He took us to Ploce instead, probably because it was cheaper to dock there and never mind all the inconvenience to the tour guide (and us passengers). The tour guide told us she couldn't understand his decision either. Anyway, there were more things in your itinerary we didn't do, than we did do. Maybe update your wording and your hyperbole a bit.

A great holiday through Canada and Alaska
Although it was a large group, it gelled together very well, due to the Tour Director doing a great job. The variety of hotels and places to stay added to the variety and enjoyment of the tour. The hotel in Banff struggled to cope with the overall numbers going through at breakfast time as several groups were moving through at the same time. Although expected it is long days when you are in one location for one night, often arriving late afternoon, little time to see the town, then up early the next day. As I say it is expected. Weather was really good in Canada and the scenery overall could not be faulted, the colours around Denali was superb. Hiccup with luggage going missing on arrival in Vancouver affecting 80+ people on the flight. The delays of hours this caused meant we missed the pick up lift from the airport. The numbers in the itinerary said it was an unmonitored mailbox. The holiday finished on a low as our final flight of three was cancelled, so we had to make our own way home from London to Liverpool. But the enjoyment of the holiday stays with us.

£9.5k for a 4 day cruise
Went on a 14 day river cruise from Budapest to Amsterdam. Arrived in Budapest to be told that significant rain was expected so we have to depart immediately for our first destination of Vienna. Arrived in Vienna 24 hours later but were unable to leave the boat due to high water levels. This continued for the next 3 days until we are told on day 4 that the cruise was cancelled and would have to leave the boat the following day. We were also informed that this was a “force majeure” event and as a result none of the £9.5k paid would be refunded. Therefore 4 days of being locked on a boat, never visiting a city had cost us £9.5k. Think very carefully before booking with APT / Travelmarvel.

The ship was lovely
The ship was lovely, the food wonderful but best of all were the staff. They’re outstanding. My wife and I couldn’t recommend this company any more highly. Superb. The scenery is also amazing. The “ports of call” are all delightful. We cannot believe that anyone would have a bad word to say about APT. Can’t wait to book again.

Hiding travel marvel under apt not honest
Been with apt but this holiday travel marvel the REAL COMPANY Difference you find out too late Smaller cabins Trips about £60 each day Meals quality and quantity very poor If you want. For 15 days ice cream or cheese then fine 3 veg each night but you need microscope for inch square of each veg no doubt have photos Limited drink choice We had the BEST ROom SUITES 3rd floor TINY lots of us had to chase up each day shades on top deck and comfy seat covers WHY Reported. To agents week ago no reply Stairs left handle often not tied up coming down happened twice dangerous coming down The mini spa the screws and bolt missing nearly had a serious fall my wife reported it the staff member said he would report to cruise director..sign of how managed!!..we showed we were surprised why not just get a spanner!! Further item access down to the bar deck at the front completely blocked but the reception answer was that it WAS NORMAL to be closed.. those on the desk generally very young but sad fir them often on their own and lacked the skill to handle many things not THEIR problem The cruise Directortoo often using his frame in an agrresssive way Overall not honest re who paying in fact blurring the two for BEST effect for APT. Heard a lot of complaints mainly.. rightly by the Aussies to each other and THE director our friends also added comments direct TO ANSWER BE HONEST TELL PEOPLE THE REAL DIFFERENCE BETWEEN APT AND TRAVEL MARVEL WILL NOT GO WITH THEM UNTIL SURE WHAT I AM BUYING

Superb from Beginning to End
We had an amazing experience throughout our APT River cruise. It began with a chauffeur driven Mercedes collecting us from home to the airport and ended with a similar airport to home transfer. Everything in between was excellent. The Amastella Riverboat, taking us from Amsterdam to Budapest on the Rhine, Main and Danube was great. The cabins were well equipped and we had a Juliette and regular balcony. The ship was attractive and very clean and we enjoyed watching the beautiful scenery passing by whilst relaxing on deck. The staff were always smiling, courteous and helpful. The food was wonderful, especially the rib eye steak which simply melted in the mouth. Speciality dining was also available and themed meals occasionally. A wide range of drinks were included too. We had entertainment each evening with opportunity to dance and one evening amazing Viennese Waltzers came on board to dance and offer us a lesson afterwards. Every day there were included excursions to choose from according to taste and physical ability. In addition special treats were arranged, including a mountain Sound of Music concert in Saltzburg. Also a private classical concert during our stay in Vienna which took place in absolutely wonderful surroundings and included welcome drinks. I could write so much more praising our wonderful holiday where we met so many great people. Small numbers on board meant shipmate friendships were easy to form. Thank you APT we would not hesitate to use your company again.

Excellent Service - Ruth is a Star!
I'm touring New Zealand in Oct/Nov 2024 and required info on a few aspects of the trip I was a little nervous about. So I rang up and spoke to Ruth. Ruth has the patience of a saint! Nothing I asked was too minor and I felt so reassured. Let me tell you APT, Ruth is the kind of customer service every company should have and you should cherish her. She is friendly, knowledgeable, professional and so helpful. Thanks so much Ruth you are a star and deserve a pay rise!!

Travelmarvel cruise
My first river cruise after many ocean cruises and travels over the years with my late husband I’ve just had the most memorable 2 week cruise Budapest to Amsterdam. The ship was immaculate throughout, the staff were faultless in consideration, service and made me smile each time I saw them. Different nationalities on board meant I met some lovely fellow holidaymakers. I never heard a negative comment from any of them. Dining was a peaceful unrushed pleasure. I went on trips , which many were included, and saw so much. I could comment forever and it left me with so many memories and brought a lump in my throat as I disembarked. Well done.
