I cannot fault the service I received from Rachel Mack. She went that extra mile to ensure that she was able to offer me exactly what I wanted from my river cruise choice. I had many questions and requirements which she dealt with in a friendly, helpful manner whilst remaining professional at all times. It was a pleasure to deal with her, she is a credit to APT.
Very high quality fabulous cruise.
Fabulous boat, immaculately maintained, excellent ports of call, enthusiastic and informative Tour Director, plenty of food and drink, ( though served by less than enthusiastic staff, no eye contact, little rapport ). Overall, an exceptionally good trip. We would strongly recommend APT to anyone considering a small motor yacht cruise.,

The ship was lovely, the evening entertainment was good. The food and service were excellent. Our cruise director was well informed and helpful. On a minus side and petty there was no plug in the bathroom basin which causes a waste of water. Also the coach trips on this cruise were overly long which of course this is because the excursions were not on the riverside as in the Amsterdam to Budapest cruise. No co-ordination between guides so often the same story on the next day trip. Cycles available were great but it would help to have knowledge of local cycle routes.

An altogether unforgettable experience, in celebration of my 70th birthday. We were treated incredibly well by everyone, from wonderful cleaners, waiters, entertainment staff, managers - everyone came across as being determined to make our experience well organised and very special. With a good mix between escorted tours and time to ourselves, as well as "down" time to enjoy craft classes, or just sitting on deck enjoying scenery with coffee or a drink, we never felt pressured or rushed to do anything except enjoy the whole experience. We watched other cruise operators, and were quite sure that our operators were more professionally run, with far superior boats and an overall better ambience. Really gratefull that all gratuities were included in the price as I would have hated to start making any choices!! - everyone was amazing throughout - and although prices looked a little higher than other operators, when you took everything included into account, and the overall standard offered, it most certainly was not. I would not use any other company having experienced APT/Travel Marvel first hand

Clean modern ship was great and although staterooms are small and balcony not a true balcony there was plenty of storage space and a great shower. We felt the dining times were very restrictive. 7-9 breakfast. 12.30 lunch and 7pm dinner. Very Limited choice menus. Included tours leave far too early! We are on holiday and want to relax! The ships rarely dock in the centre of places visited whilst other lines have the prime spots we were often far away from where we wanted to be

Enjoyable cruise down The Danube. Lovely clean cabin as is everywhere on the boat, ultra comfy bed and great shower. Friendly staff and attentive. Would have been 5 stars if the dinner in the evenings included a grilled steak or chicken as a fall back if you don't like regional dish or a sauce.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Danube river cruise. The cabin was very comfortable & well laid out, the ship in general was excellent. All the staff were very friendly, polite & helpful, they all work very hard. The trips were all very good & the tour guides were very informative

Exceptional cruise director (Esme). She really went the extra mile to make sure that everyone had a great holiday. Always friendly and helpful, even though she worked very long hours. All other staff were also very good, especially waiters remembering individual preferences. Food excellent. Only one criticsm to stop it being five star: there was nowhere to sit and chat with friends after dinner. The lounge was too busy, loud and crowded. McGearys bar could have been available, but closed at 9.00pm. Nothing wrong with the evening entertainment on offer, but not everyone wants to take part ever night.

On the whole we enjoyed our river cruise the staff were all exceptional especially the boys / girls that looked after our rooms and the staff who looked after the food and drink in the restaurant waiters etc they worked long hours and were always smiling and helpful at all times they were brilliant the food was disappointing at the start of the cruise the tea served between 3/4 the sandwiches were unappealing all on white bread and not very healthy so never ate tea maybe some nice scones and nice small brown filled rolls with different fillings ?? Instead of the white curled up sandwiches the food in the restaurant got better as the cruise went on , Iβm not vegetarian, but not much choice if you were vegetarian the cabin was nice bed very comfortable plenty of places to put clothes etc , all seemed to be very well organised

The coach driver was superb, abd the organisation was very good. The whole holiday was close to five stars rating . The only reasons I award four stars are the price, and some situations which could have been handled sligbtly better. The hotels were in the main very good, but one or two did not quite live up to the standard expected of the price of the tour. Some of the optional additional excursions were unnecessarily costly, most notably the Hobbiton trip, and a few things included in the overall package could be cut to reduce the price (e.g. the vouchers to buy lunches and dinners at Fergs in Queenstown, some of the hotel dinners, the Queenstown Gondola). These are minor, constructive criticisms of an otherwise very good tour.
