Excellent Service
I cannot fault the service I received from Rachel Mack. She went that extra mile to ensure that she was able to offer me exactly what I wanted from my river cruise choice. I had many questions and requirements which she dealt with in a friendly, helpful manner whilst remaining professional at all times. It was a pleasure to deal with her, she is a credit to APT.

Fabulous boat, wonderfull holiday.
Fabulous boat, immaculately maintained, excellent ports of call, enthusiastic and informative Tour Director, plenty of food and drink, ( though served by less than enthusiastic staff, no eye contact, little rapport ). Overall, an exceptionally good trip. We would strongly recommend APT to anyone considering a small motor yacht cruise.,

Our wonderful Canadian and Alaskan…
Our wonderful Canadian and Alaskan tour. Both of the tour specialists Spencer 《Canada) and Helena (Holland America) were very helpful and considerate. They did their utmost with Spencer guiding the tour driver to pull over safely when we spotted bears. Incidentally, when it was raining g, the tour driver took off part of his evening to drive us to our restaurant in the evening. Spencer was very knowledgeable about his native country try and had a good sense of humour with some lovely Canadian record tracks we had never heard of before. The coach driver also gave us guests some additional information too. We saw some truly beautiful natural sights and will not forget this holiday of a lifetime.

This was our first coach travel touring…
This was our first coach travel touring holiday and it was one to remember. The APT organisation and logistics were absolutely spot on, the tour director and coach driver were excellent with nothing too much trouble. We will certainly use APT again if we were to choose a destination and type of holiday they provide.

A very well organised tour
The tour was put together extremely well. The trip through the Rockies was a great experience with an excellent tour manager and lovely hosts on the Rocky Mountaineer. However, the tour was let down for me by the Holland American cruise ship as I have dietary requirements that were not catered for. Despite the fact that they had been notified beforehand. The cabin was odd as to look out of the windows you had to kneel on the bed, not to mention the light switches on the headboards!

Not as good as previous river cruises
Three star rating as overall it was ok but no better than that. Cabin was noisy at night due to being sited under the air con main units and ear plugs were necessary. This is despite it being supposedly only second to the two 'owners suites' and was worse than cheaper alternatives. Food was ok but not up to previous trips with APT. Daily excursions were in much larger groups than on previous cruises and in some cases the time was poorly used. EG. in Salamanca (2 hours in a bus) then hang around for another hour waiting for a local guide to whizz us round in a group of 30+. The promised tour of Porto turned out to be just a coach ride round the city without actually stopping at any attractions. Without wishing to sound too 'sniffy' about this it all felt a bit downmarket bearing in mind the price paid. My advice to future travellers is don't pay the extra money for cabin 324 and book your own guides for Salamanca and Porto.
