Excellent Service

I recently had an issue with tiles picking up and fading - I contacted the company and they dealt with it in a very speedy and efficient way. The product is excellent and this is matched by the service

Beautiful floor laid very skillfully

Beautiful floor laid very skillfully. Warranty registration process easy and prompt. One issue - as tiles are supplied in 2sqm packs, we were left with 1.65sqms of expensive tiles. Perhaps packs should be supplied in 1sqm quantity.

Colour mismatch

Same problem as 15 Dec post. Bought the pale limestone click smart plank based on a sample from Amtico which was white in colour but with a very faint grey misting. When the planks arrived most were much darker and when laid together changed the whole tone of the floor from light to dark, some would say a grubby look. In a small room that was not what we wanted. Amtico said that shades vary between batches and declined to take them back. Too expensive to bin so I’m sorting out the lighter ones for the middle of the floor and hiding the darker grubby looking ones under furniture.

Manage your expectations!

I've read the bad reviews and agree that Amtico aren't perfect, but no LVT product is! All hard flooring will scratch, you've got to do your part (furniture leg protectors, door mats, regular sweeping) and you can buy the stripper and dressing to refresh it from time to time. I've had the Signature rustic wood finish installed (sometimes called Barnwood I think) and the textured finish disguises any scuffs and scratches. My advice would be to just be savvy with your colours choices. If you want smooth and shiny then you have to do your part and give it some TLC that's all. The Amtico One retailer we used talked us through all this in the first place so we knew what to expect. If you pay that bit extra for an approved installer then you'll get a finished result that befits a high end product. Maybe that's where others have gone wrong. Also, I've got gluedown Amtico, not click (I noticed bad reviews for click) and the retailer told us the sub floor prep had to be bang on for the product to look good, thankfully the Amtico One installers do this so I've had no issues there either. Bit unfair to blanket Amtico with the bad reviews if it's either the end user or the installer that's where the fault lies but I suppose that's what happens on forums like this!

Very poor product

Very poor product. Our grey Amtico installed 4 years ago has discoloured to green, not faded its a definite colour change in the area by our 2 sets of French doors. It is supposedly UV protected and also suitable for conservatories but Amtico advise that it is kept out of direct sunlight. I contacted Amtico, with their 30 year warranty but fading and discolouration's are not covered. Other fact, if your builder doesn't purchase the flooring from one of their listed suppliers the warranty is void. The product not fit for purpose and their warranty as is worthless.

Opposite of hard-wearing and scratch resistant

We wanted a hard-wearing floor that would work with underfloor heating and be more scratch-resistant than real wood. Opted for Amtico Spacia in the click smart range. Multiple planks have warped when the underfloor heating has turned on, making the floor feel uneven and the click smart mechanism has even snapped in a couple of places so we've had to pay to replace those planks already. Also the floor scratches SO easily - even the slightest movement of a chair is enough to leave an obvious white scratch. Really disappointed when we spent so much money to choose a high-end product.

Faultless!!

After doing our research, my wife I opted to have Spacia Traditional Oak fitted throughout the downstairs of our home. The fit and finish of the flooring really is first class and has surpassed our expectations in every way. The large parquet design looks stunning and suits our home perfectly. It is super easy to clean and stands up to the rigours of family life brilliantly. We purchased the flooring from our local Amtico One retailer whose service was second to none. Nothing was too much trouble and we are thrilled with the end result.

Very disappointed with the colour variation across batches.

Very disappointed with the colour consistency across batches of Amtico Spacia planks. We laid 70 square metres of material but unfortunately 6 months later 70% of the LVT had to be replaced due to a levelling issues created by the approved installer. When the new batch of LVT was laid there were clear differences in appearance between the batches in terms of colour shade and sheen levels. Lessons learnt. 1. I would have expected Amtico to have a far more consistent manufacturing process as no two batches appear to be the same. They do allude to this in their small print but they don't explain how different the product could be. 2. Make sure you have spare material just in case the plank needs to be replaced sometime in the future. 3. Personally I would avoid using Amtico again on future projects. Result: Having learnt about the batch differences we refused to pay the supplier/installer until the entire 70 square metres was laid from the same batch which they are refusing to do. This is now an active court case.

Terrible service

Terrible service. We have paid over 9k for our flooring, which yes is our choice. We thought by choosing a slightly more expensive flooring that we would be able to have a top service! We booked 3 months in advance of having our flooring done. The prep work started and has been completed, only for the fitter to find that Amtico had ordered and made the wrong size flooring! This delayed us 2 weeks. During which time we have had no furniture/washing machine etc etc due to moving this all for the flooring to be completed. New batch of flooring arrived, again pre prep complete. Only for the fitter to then find that the flooring is faulty!! Not only now have there been issues twice, but we now are not getting a response from Amtico!! It’s now only 2 weeks until Xmas, and I’m going to have to cancel all my family plans at my house due to this. Aswell as now having to push all of our new furniture deliveries until after xmas. To be honest, the xmas I imagined in my home with my family is now not going to happen. Appalling service!! NB the company we used to purchase the flooring have been amazing. Just a shame that such a high end company can’t deliver what they promise

Colour of floor

I wonder why one customers complaint is worth responding too but not the rest of us?! If you look below. I think the marketing department should be concentrating on what they are advertising and sending out as samples as the actual floors are not the same. My disappointment is with the colour of the floor. I chose it from a small sample and from the overall look on the website pictures. I don't believe they are the same floor and I don't believe lighting makes a total colour difference. Really sad as this was a large project and I now wish I had put down real wood. For the cost of this project it makes me feel sick.

Problems within 24 hours of installation

Had the Amtico Signature laid throughout our ground floor August 2022. After 24 hours I started getting warping in one place, but over the next month it appeared all over the ground floor. The flooring contractor just stated that I must have damp in the sub-floor. I just do not understand it seems that the installation of the Amtico range is hit and miss. If it is a miss it is just tough. It is a shame you cannot go below 1 star.
