Frustrating! I was told by my employer I did not pass my bilingual test (Vietnamese) even though I was born and raised in Vietnam and also was a previous interpreter at hospital & clinic. This company is a waste of time... wow! Test was extremely fast paced and recording was also a fast talker with different dialect. I just don't think it's fair.
I don't think the translator translated 100% of what the geneticist said. Firstly, there were some things I understood that he didn't translate, Secondly the geneticist spoke Chinese (I didn't know that the geneticist spoke Chinese before the meeting, and no one told me that), and at one point in the middle of the appointment she even explained it to me in Chinese herself

The staff assisting us was very knowledgeable and helpful when we requested information about services. Setting up our account was easy. We had some issues with one test (over the phone) but that was resolved. Will highly recommend the services and continue to use them in the future.
Trash company that copy and pasted questions from the 70s. 21 questions to tell if I’m bilingual is pretty brain dead especially when half of my questions are bs hypotheticals. Sell me “house and auto insurance”. Your company’s a joke. Don’t work for anyone using this trash. I’m literally fluent free up speaking both English and Spanish and they’re going to judge me😂. Crazy I wasted 30 minutes on this garbage

The translation turnaround time was really quick, and the ALTA representative that I worked with was very responsive. My only critique is that on a material that contained a bulleted list, the translated text that was on the document that I received back from ALTA did not match up to the actual bullets so it was hard to know where the text for each bulleted item started and stopped, as I did not know the other language. I felt that there could have been more attention paid to that.

We needed a translator for a deposition. The translators did not appear to be familiar with standard rules regarding depositions (they were explaining questions to the deponent and then paraphrasing the deponent's answers as opposed to just translating). Also where the translators did not understand terms, they were guessing, which confused our deponent significantly.
