I booked a car from AERCAR pathos. There was no problem booking online I had payed a deposit and already arranged the insurance (full package) When I got there there was new insurance information I did not know about. I’d already chosen full insurance package online but they gave me 3 options, one being pay €50 to be covered, second option was pay €800 and receive it back when dropping the car back and I forgot the third option but I had already agreed insurance on the online contract, I went with the €800 payment option which will be returned as long as you follow the instructions provided at the desk if there are any problems. I was advised I should take pictures of the car for prof of any damages which they all do. The car was covered in dents, cracks and this included a part lose rear bumper. Due to the fact I had paid €800 I took 2 full walk round videos of all the damages and panels of the car. I also decided to only use the car for the two long road trips to my destination and back, as well as two small shopping trips as I was now uncomfortable using the car that was damaged so bad on the chance of losing €800 . When I returned to have the car inspected straight away they said they noticed a crack on the back bumper had I taken any pictures. I showed them the video of the lose clip on the back bumper which was unlined and of the crack they claimed was new which was clearly faded and showed it was old and discoloured. I was then told okay you can have your €800 back but if I had no video evidence I would of been €800 out of pocket so if advise to steer clear as it seems pretty obvious this is a way they make extra income as the car was a bucket. They sent a message for reviews and I think I was a bit to nice with my ratings now I’ve read all the other comments on here. The shuttle bus drivers were great to talk to and very helpful though. A very unpleasant experience.
I was provided with an old Ford Focus estate that was in poor condition with 65,000 km on the clock. When getting the car there were warning lights on the dash and I was told “thats ok” and to ignore them when I questioned this. Overall the collection was quick and easy and that was the last of the good things with AerCar. The air conditioning was worse than anything I have experienced, dropped the internal temperature a few degrees but only when on absolutely full power. Made the driving during the day quite miserable and uncomfortable and you could not talk to anyone in the car over the noise of the fan and air conditioning. I had a blow out at night, which destroyed a tire that needed replacing and I was then charged for as I was told “you destroyed the tire”. Complete sidewall blowout and delamination of the tread from the carcass…..Never mind the fact that the spare tire was also flat, the wheel spanner was not the correct size and there was no jack in the car. Making a relatively straight forward wheel replacement a 90 minute exercise sitting in the dark on the side of the road waiting for a rescue vehicle to get to me. I was then responsible for getting the tire replaced. Great way to waste several hours of my holiday. Credit to the rescue team and Lagrome Trading for getting to me relatively quickly considering the area I was stranded in and then tire replacement in the morning. They were exceptional but only because they had nothing apart from an AerCar account to do the work. Poor maintenance of the vehicle provided and the lack of working tire sensors in the car further confirm this for me, they may have prevented the blowout as a fault would potentially have been raised before the blowout. When changing the tire it was clear this wheel had not been removed for some time, the corrosion between the wheel and the hub required an excessive amount of force to separate the two from each other, a 2ton rachet strap and rubber mallet the only thing to do this on the side of the road against the Armco barrier. The jack and tire spanner would have been useless on their own without the fully kitted rescue vehicle. I would love to see the service records as from the wheel change experience I don’t believe had gone through any maintenance or MOT equivalent anytime. Poor quality vehicle, lacking basics required ie Jack/tire spanner/inflated spare wheel, questionable road worthiness. I will not be using Aercar again and will go further to recommend to anyone not to use them.
We use their cars many times. Fair and decent. good value for your money.

I booked a car for 5 days with full insurance coverage which is 75 euro there were few dents and scratch but we ignored due to full insurance policy but they demanded 800 euro for not contacting SOS number to inform the scratches. We had no choice to pay due to our flight and their shuttle service and the people in the office are like judge of the court and very disrespectful

Watch out for loose parts that fall off unnoticed at Pathos Aercar. 140 euros charged for a piece of plastic that had fallen off the underpart of a wing mirror (despite having bought full cover with them) because I couldn't ring immediately due to supporting my Dad who has stage 4 cancer. They were however informed before drop off. Upon pick up of the car we we're told it's too dark for us to check the car over but to not worry as it's all on the sheet yet on drop off they did a thorough check with a bright lamp in the dark. Scam company and once you're there you're at their mercy as they are your lift between the airport and car rental office. Also too tired to argue in the middle of the night. I expected a trustworthy company for such a high stake transaction.

The pick-up at Paphos airport was explained in the documentation and so we found the shuttle bus easily. Very nice driver who had us to the depot in a few minutes. The pick-up was also very friendly and took just 10 minutes. The car had seen better days with a not-so-clean inside and a good few marks/scratches. But look, the rate was good, the car drove well and it was comfortable ....Suzuki Balerno. Returning the car was a breeze with no fuss whatsoever. Only for the car, it was a 5-star experience. (Pity to see such bad and horrid reviews of AerCar at Larance-maybe they could learn from Paphos depot/)

Horrible experience. True scam artists when dealing with car accident. Avoid! Abhorrent customer service at Larnaca station. Employees cussing customers in Greek among themselves when they think that customers don’t understand. 4 different employees screaming at customers at top of their lungs. Better service received in a 3rd world country.

Nobody told us that the rental service was situated outside of the airport, nobody told us how to get there, we had to ask people at the airport how to go there, the standard didn't pay any attention to us when we arrived. We had to wait after 4 hours flight to be seen, while the staff were talking to their cat at the office. We paid extra to have a bigger car and we got Toyota Aqua, a very tiny car, not one of the cars described in the contract, the vehicle was awful, dirty inside, broken mirror and one car light was missing, many scratches, I didn't expect this type of car for the money we paid. The service and standard are not welcoming customers, they don't help you to check the car, do not explain anything. I will never ever rent with your company again.

Booked a car with Aercar Paphos and was the worst experience possible. Guy who was supposed to pick me and my husband up from the airport and take us to the office refused because of a lack of voucher and said he would not take us anywhere and he said my name was not on the list. After an hour and a phone call to the office later I grabbed the list out of anger and found my name half way down and the driver said sorry he was tired. At the office it was no better they said payment was due even tho i had already payed and finally they found that the car had been payed for. NEVER EVER again will be using these lot.

I have recently returned from Paphos, Cyprus on 12 Oct 22. I have nothing but praise for Aercar. From picking my husband and myself up at the airport, friendly driver, easy to collect the car, another ariendly chap at the office and everything explained. We did have a problem with a warning light coming on 8 days in which could have been extremely problematic but we decided to call in and speak directly with someone. They treated us really well and we were given an upgrade as there were no cars available in our lower category. Dropping the car off was no problem and return to airport by the same friendly driver. This is the first time we have used them but will certainly do so again. I am not saying it is a positive experience for everyone but it was for us. I would advise on collection to take lots of photo's before driving away and also to read the small print re the huge deposit and insurance's as whilst waiting for our replacement vehicle, a Nissan X Trail, I observed several people not realising that this would need to be covered and it was causing problems. It is a common practice with most companies though.

AERCAR is the Worst car rental place ever. I've bee rental car all around the world and for the fist & last time on Cyprus, Larnaca I rent with that AERCAR company. I paid full amount for the car with included Full Protection Insurance. But when i got there they was looking for another 850 euros extras for deposit and the car probably cost 5k. And the explanation was if you don't pay those money for the deposit you have to pay 70 euros and even if you bring the car in excellent condition the same way when you picked it up still not going to see those 70 euros back. Worst politic for rental company never see things like this , and you don't have a choice because there are car park is in the middle of nowhere is not at the airport which can give you a chance to go with another rental company.
