Review summary
Acorn Estate Agents has mixed reviews from customers. Customers particularly appreciate service and professional, though some mention concerns about communication and customer service.
The staff at the Acorn Rainham branch are a credit to the sector, from our initial talks with Kieran through to Mark and Remmi when completing. They all went above and beyond to make sure we was fully satisfied and always kept us updated.
In this process we had dealt with several estate agents and by far Acorn Rainham were the best.
If we were to need an estate agent again. Acorn Rainham would be our top choice and would highly recommend them.
Well done Mark, Kieran and Remmi
Thankyou so much

I have dealt with multiple estate agents in the past, and I found the staff at Acorn Rainham branch exceptional. Mark and Kieran were professional as well as very friendly and easy to get on with. They kept me informed the whole time, which other agents have not.
I would use them again in the future
I had an excellent experience with Acorn Real Estate Group, and I want to especially thank Mark, Kieran, and Remmi for their outstanding support throughout the process. From start to finish β and particularly up to the exchange of contracts β their professionalism, responsiveness, and dedication were second to none.
They kept me well-informed at every stage, provided honest and clear advice, and were always available to answer my questions promptly. Itβs rare to find a team so committed to client satisfaction. Thanks to their hard work, the process was smooth and stress-free.
Highly recommend Acorn and this fantastic team for anyone looking for reliable and genuinely supportive estate agents.
Acorn, and in particular Adam Gould and Godefroy Herissay from their Kennington branch, come highly recommended. They were honest, professional, responsive and good-humoured throughout the entire process and were instrumental in getting the deal over the line. Not sure why buying/selling a property is as hard as it is, but the value of a good agent was made clear to us. If you are in Kennington and, like we were, overwhelmed with the number of property agents (every second shop seems to be one), would highly recommend dropping in to see Adam.
Agency didn't bother turning up for a viewing, didn't even tell me they wasn't coming. Anyhow the landlord was around, and the agency has lost out on fee's as I have now put on offer directly to the landlord.
We bought our house through the Sidcup branch of Acorn in October 2020. We dealt with Kelly and we were really impressed at how approachable she was and hugely appreciated the regular updates on our purchase. The purchase went smoothly and Acorn were a pleasure to deal with throughout.
Acorn were extremely efficient in advertising my flat and finding me an excellent tenant in no time at all. The whole process could not have been handled better by Shirin.
We were asked to review the Acorn Group after renting, but this seems to be the correct place for a lettings review so I'll leave my experience here as well.
Despite originally being very positive, our continued experience with them has sadly been incredibly poor. We were promised a complete repaint and clean of the unfurnished property when we put the offer in (2 months before moving!). When arriving on the move-in day we found that not only had the flat not been repainted, it was full of the previous tenant's furniture and discarded personal items! Also the en-suite bathroom (despite apparently being professionally cleaned) was full of black mould - which was majorly concerning as I suffer from asthma due to our previous flat's black mould infestation. Because of this we'd emphasised the importance of having a mould free flat to Acorn multiple times and they'd been really sympathetic, so to arrive and find this was really upsetting.
It was clear that no one from Acorn had been round to inspect the property since the previous tenants had moved out. Thankfully Acorn did arrange for the old furniture to be removed, but this took incessant emails, phonecalls and even marching down to the Catford branch to speak to them in person for this to be sorted, which was not what we needed on an already stressful moving day.
We never got a further response on the mouldy bathroom other than 'well it was professionally cleaned', despite the fact that the inventory description and photos also show it being mouldy.
As of this point, nearly 2 weeks after we moved in, we are seemingly no closer to getting the paintwork completed despite also regularly pushing for it and enquiring about it. We've also just received an inventory of the property that is now almost wholly inaccurate due to the furniture removal and the upcoming paintwork, yet we are still being expected to sign it! Cue even more endless emails that seem to go nowhere, with no real apology or remorse for our further time and effort wasted. Overall this has been a real letdown from a company that (at first glance) seemed quite good.
If only I could turn back the time and never had signed a contract with them. I am dealing with a senior manager from a
southeast London branch. She couldn't have made my life more difficult
1) rude and ignorant
2) she made my phone buzzing with emails until I complete deposit and rent payment and sign the contract. After I transfered the funds, I let her know via email and she didn't even confirm. Long story short after I paid I had to chase the a lot
3) 3 weeks after we completed referencing and they proceeded to sending me the paperwork, they found a mistake! Mind blowing! Here we are bothering again my previous landlord filling forms again!
4) I requested advise from her on how to unload my belongings yesterday after the inventory check. She said she would call me back. She hasn't yet by the way.
5) they supposed to clean the flat before I got in. They partially painted it and it had dust everywhere. Not to mention that the silicone on the bath tub and window areas have mold.
6) the members of stuff do not properly communicate. I had requested 6 months breaking clause and when they sent me the contract they didn't include it. There we go again back and forth emailing and reading contracts again from the beginning when they resent it with corrections.
Just terrible costumer service. I feel they only care about the landlords where they take the money as landlords are they clients. Tenants are only puppets. I will definitely not use them again.
A person called Vincent as an agent from Acron Crystal Palace was extremely rude, was not wearing a mask during covid, wanted to compare my earnings against me. Contacted the office to complain about this person they hang up on me then I called again and spoken to a manager and still waiting for his call. Based on Vincent conversation he records all voice calls without any disclaimer, I told him it was out of law he did not care and wanted to argue showing he was better off them me. my and my friend was just stating that the flat looks different from the picture but he still argues and disrespects me ... I assumed customer service was number 1 but thought wrong ... I am still waiting on the Manager call. ... Contacted Yousef Branch Manager but seem for Him i am the wrong person as Vincent is never nasty ... I and my colleague are the victim here but seem they just want the sell of an apartment and let Vincent not to apologies for his behaviour. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE.
I had the worst experience ever. The estate agent told us we have the house and we can move in next week after there was no response from estate agent on our messages and many calls we had to ring up the company we told them everything whatβs going on I gave them our number they told us they will get back to us but nobody ever did. I seriously donβt recommend this company.
Viewing was arranged but I got a call minutes before to ask to reschedule for the next day. Fast forward to next day: no answer and agent just happened to not be around so said they'd get him to call back... no call and now closed. Waste of two days.
They ask us for our requirements then ignore them, sending endless properties through that we have no interest in, writing misleading descriptions, failing to answer the phone and generally wasting our time.
