The worst operator I've ever used.

The worst operator I've ever used. The internet is absolutely unstable. The speed is 0.2mb/s and this is 4g coverage? According to diagnostics, it feels like they're "scattering" it across different servers, like some kind of parasite. Ping is crazy. +- normal internet only at night. I don't recommend it

False Advertising Buyer Beware.

False Advertising Buyer Beware. You have to purchase a plan by contract before you get your free month and then you have very little data as they say it's a FAIR USAGE POLICY. Absolutely A Disgrace. It Looks like a great deal but it's not. Beware.

Absolutely terrible. Indescribably useless. Data rarely ever works, and if it does, it’s 3g. There is no roaming despite what they say. I’ve tried everything and even got in contact with 48 to fix the issue and still nothing works. On top of that, you are not able to call non Irish numbers. UK, Spain, America etc. Complete joke. I don’t understand how something can be so useless. I am not usually the type to leave reviews and complain about things, but holy god 48 is terrible. The price is good, but the quality of services needs a serious overhaul.

Joined 48 over a month ago from Three.ie, No problems switching over. Ordered sim and received in about 5 days. Had to get my phone unlocked which only took a couple of days, had to contact three for the unlock code. Set up auto renew on my account and this works fine.

Refreshing sim data

I am with 48 with over a year and I found it great until I changed my phone at Christmas. I got the samsung A21S and now everytime I lose phone signal it shows up refreshing sim data and tells me to restart my phone. I have done this everytime and the problem still arises. Not sure if its a problem with 48 or samsung but have got on to both of them and none of them can help with my problem. I have tried other sim cards in the phone and they seem to work perfectly. Also my 48 sim works fine in other branded phones which I find strange. So if your thinking of buying a Samsung phone make sure you have full phone signal with 48 first.

STOP YOUR MOANING !

I joined 48 mobile in October last year on the €7.99 monthly deal - unlimited calls , texts , data and I have never looked back. I live in the Waterford area and I have excellent coverage . I see now the same package I have has risen to €12.99 for new customers so I am relieved I joined when I did . I have read all the reviews on this site and I have to wonder regarding the negative ones how many are genuine . 48 is better than Ryanair , Ryanair will get you to your destination at a budget price and nothing else , 48 will connect you to their service with unlimited calls , texts , data and you know exactly what you get before signing up. You are given 1 month free so you can try them out , so really there is no need for negative reviews as you can remain with your present mobile provider as 48 will give you a free sim and phone number and should you join 48 then if you wish only then port your old phone number when you are 100% happy with the 48 network .

Do not use this crowd

Do not use this crowd, was fine for a few months but now mobile data does not work, money taken out of 2 different accounts but unable to topup, no live customer chat, have been trying to topup since Sunday

Top Class

My whole family switched to 48’s €7.99 plan in January & we are all delighted with the service. Was very easy to switch, porting was fast and we have had no issues since. Customer service are friendly and easy to contact via web chat. Coverage is great- (living in Clare), we have free calls, free texts and 100gb data. Was paying €20 a month to another provider for the same service. I would highly recommend 48. Excellent company.

48.ie SIM in a Three.ie locked phone ??

48.ie service is excellent here in the Navan area. Does anyone know if a Three locked phone will accept a 48.ie sim card without being unlocked ?? They run on the same network ???

Trying to log in to my48 account and it won't let me login, just a message saying incorrect credentials. Try to log in to reset password and get a message saying code sent to my email address, but got no email

I found them good until yesterday

I found them good until yesterday. Now anytime I try to make a call I have to log in to my account and contact support. I cannot contact my Doctor. This is not good enough.

So I've tried Gomo and now 48

So I've tried Gomo and now 48. I have to say for the 7.99 I got it at service to date is great. 4G speeds are better in some areas opose to Gomo speeds, I get 4G+ with 48 I didn't with Gomo. Max speeds with Gomo I've got was 60-70 mbps. 48 over 200mbps on occasions. No problem with Calls or texts. In my area (Offaly) I'm getting fairly good Coverage. I'd give 48 that few extra points over Gomo.
