The worst operator I've ever used. The internet is absolutely unstable. The speed is 0.2mb/s and this is 4g coverage? According to diagnostics, it feels like they're "scattering" it across different servers, like some kind of parasite. Ping is crazy. +- normal internet only at night. I don't recommend it
False Advertising Buyer Beware.
You have to purchase a plan by contract before you get your free month and then you have very little data as they say it's a FAIR USAGE POLICY.

It Looks like a great deal but it's not.
Beware.
Absolutely terrible. Indescribably useless. Data rarely ever works, and if it does, it’s 3g. There is no roaming despite what they say. I’ve tried everything and even got in contact with 48 to fix the issue and still nothing works. On top of that, you are not able to call non Irish numbers. UK, Spain, America etc. Complete joke. I don’t understand how something can be so useless. I am not usually the type to leave reviews and complain about things, but holy god 48 is terrible. The price is good, but the quality of services needs a serious overhaul.
You will be stuck very badly after 3-4 months. There are certain things which are still launched by 48. By any chance, if you lost your phone, the procedure is 1 month for the number to get activated. You have to buy new number, you have to go to banks to registered new number, etc. etc.
Conclusion
You might save 4-5 euro every month with 48, but you will end up in a problem which can cost you above 100-200 euros in one go.
Terrible customer service takes too long to get the issues fixed.
Took more than one months to get the replacement sim.
Now can not top up the account as when you log in to account it gives errors saying that "the sim is already activated".
The service is good and coverage and speed of internet are good but if something goes wrong it will take ages to fix it.
Brilliant price but when I was abroad last week I had no coverage, had to contact them. Returned home, no coverage again. Changing back to my old provider. Have had other issues too in the past.
Works well in Ireland and is not expensive.
However.... when you go abroad, it is a nightmare. Difficult to contact support (as you will have no data connection) and when you do adjust the APN settings, the phone is only online for a few minutes at a time.
And then the problem repeats itself when you return back to Ireland.
Not acceptable in 2021. No warnings provided by My48 - you find out the hard way!
I've gone back to a proper provider who doesn't need me to change my settings every time I go away.
