The worst operator I've ever used. The internet is absolutely unstable. The speed is 0.2mb/s and this is 4g coverage? According to diagnostics, it feels like they're "scattering" it across different servers, like some kind of parasite. Ping is crazy. +- normal internet only at night. I don't recommend it
False Advertising Buyer Beware.
You have to purchase a plan by contract before you get your free month and then you have very little data as they say it's a FAIR USAGE POLICY.

Absolutely terrible. Indescribably useless. Data rarely ever works, and if it does, it’s 3g. There is no roaming despite what they say. I’ve tried everything and even got in contact with 48 to fix the issue and still nothing works. On top of that, you are not able to call non Irish numbers. UK, Spain, America etc. Complete joke. I don’t understand how something can be so useless. I am not usually the type to leave reviews and complain about things, but holy god 48 is terrible. The price is good, but the quality of services needs a serious overhaul.
Honestly, this is a great network provider LAST YEAR. The past year they have gotten worse!! No service absolutely anywhere you go in places that you should have service! Videos on YouTube won’t load when you have full bars of service and 3G! 10.99 a month for pure USELESS! Leaving this review before I move back to Vodafone, they might be more expensive but the service and data is 100x better !!
This service provider also DOESNT come with personal hotspot which is so stupid!! You have to jump through hoops to get personal hotspot on your phone! And see to use your phone in anywhere other than Southern Ireland - it’s not as simple as selecting the relevant network you must change network settings which is just such an inconvenience for anyone!
I recommend this side of three to shut down as Three are getting worse too! Bad bad service provider!!

Don't drop the ball, you can't use Wifi spot, you can't call any Europe number, mobile network slowest in Ireland, pay 6 euro more and don't stress
Edit : after two years they fixed the roaming problem so I give them 5 stars instead of 2 . OLD: There is no roaming for this company and the chat support is a sad joke. Roaming in NI and EU didn't worked and the team behind the chat support kept telling me there is an 49 sim app in my phone. I have tried with 3 different sims and phone models and still haven't been able to use roaming. They refused to provide a ticket number or an escalation path. The only good side is it is cheap and you can control your credit online .
Very happy no problems with connection went to the UK had an issue with with roaming contacted customer care using chat function thay walk me Through the settings to sort this issue all sorted up and running now . 🤩
Absolute RUBBISH. This company doesn't even deserve a 1 star rating.Impossible to top up with via credit card,as they don't seem to understand English in the call centre in New Dehli or wherever they are.their website has crashed and is soo badly designed a 10 year old must have designed it. AVOID utterly.
There is no data roaming at all, they say you have 10gb but once you go abroad there is nothing. Followed their troubleshooting step by step and there is no difference. If you are going abroad, CHANGE SIM
Horrific customer service. Referred a friend and was given an uber eats voucher that never worked. Currently waiting over a month for it to be resolved and every time i contact im told to wait another 48 hours. Avoid them
Works great when in Ireland but no roaming abroad whatsoever.
Tried every solution on free Wifi and nothing worked.
Good price but thinking of moving provider due to roaming issue.

My wife (€10.99 plan) and my teenage daughter (€7.99 plan) were already 48 customers and I was with Vodafone paying €25 which went to €35 for a monthly rolling contract.
They were both very happy with the coverage So it was a no brainer for me to change.
I changed over a few months now and had zero issues with phone coverage and I got in at €10.99plan before the increase to €13 plan.

My teenage daughter went to France on her school tour. She could not connect to any network for roaming. I had looked up a few different things on-line but none worked. This seemed to be a common problem. If 48 were to fix this they would have a more happy customers.
Luckily, my teenage daughter was still able to contact us using free Wi-Fi in places like McDonald’s 😂
Even after this she won’t be changing from her plan from 48.
Now the problem I have is.
We are going to Spain in August for a long over due holiday for a week.
I know roaming with 48 is a disaster but it is very good in Ireland and good value for money.
Is it worth changing network and paying more money for better roaming????
