The worst operator I've ever used. The internet is absolutely unstable. The speed is 0.2mb/s and this is 4g coverage? According to diagnostics, it feels like they're "scattering" it across different servers, like some kind of parasite. Ping is crazy. +- normal internet only at night. I don't recommend it
False Advertising Buyer Beware.
You have to purchase a plan by contract before you get your free month and then you have very little data as they say it's a FAIR USAGE POLICY.

Absolutely terrible. Indescribably useless. Data rarely ever works, and if it does, it’s 3g. There is no roaming despite what they say. I’ve tried everything and even got in contact with 48 to fix the issue and still nothing works. On top of that, you are not able to call non Irish numbers. UK, Spain, America etc. Complete joke. I don’t understand how something can be so useless. I am not usually the type to leave reviews and complain about things, but holy god 48 is terrible. The price is good, but the quality of services needs a serious overhaul.
Promise the earth but deliver nothing. Avoid.
Did not pass on sign-up benefits or referal benefits. Service dropped out for days even though signal was good. Not registering on network errors. Continually go through service delay tactic loops. Gave up in the end and went to gomo.
It's a cheap sim deal if you just need it for use in Ireland, but data roaming is non existent despite all their troubleshooting guides and altering of the settings they ask you to do. If you ever need to use internet on your phone outside of Ireland I have found that you can't rely on 48. There is a saying - 'Buy cheap, buy twice' - this is absolutely true in this case as I ended up having to get a UK sim package so I have data whilst in the UK. They advise you to contact customer services when you have an issue with the roaming not working - this is impossible when you have no internet. If you get on wifi and contact them they just parrot the exact same info in their troubleshooting guides. Absolute waste of time. No other providers I have used have had an issue with roaming. This appears to be a 48 specific issue that hasn't improved, and this roaming issue alone has caused me to transfer my number to another provider.
Been with this company for years. Honesty don't know what all the negative reviews are about. Won't get better value. It was tricky for roaming a few years back, but I've been to a few different countries and had no issues the last few years.
Worst customer service I ever had in my entire life. Person named Asif does not know his job apparently so he just disapears whenever I reach out for support because your roaming is unbelievbly bad. I am changing my provider the moment I get back to Ireland from holidays. Waste of money....
If you're using your phone just outdoors it's good but once you go indoors it's terrible stuck with them for 3 weeks and after that I had the move to a different provider
No data while in UK. No one you can speak to just lots of text advice and chat with bots. Tried everything. Waste of time . Service may be cheap but I will transfer my no. Asap to another company. If u can’t get data in uk just tell us so we can make other arrangements instead of wasting half my holiday trying to resolve. Very angry at 48 mobile for this .
total lack of value for customer, even though price is low they cheat, advertise promotion that are not true- like ordering new SIM card to have a free month, when contacted about it- most unhelpful even rude. also roaming never worked for me and never got any help on that. leaving them for good and never coming back
