If I could give zero stars I would. I've not even used this company yet and I've already wasted hours trying to register on their portal. They only appear to have one phone number. You spend ages going through security questions to get through to an agent who then pops you back into the queue and have to go through the whole process again. Then you get a recorded message saying wait times are zero minutes. This is the 7th time I've tried to get through and I've currently been on hold for 45 minutes. Avoid !
It is incredible how quick the whole process took without pestering me too much questions or work to do.

You are a reactive and not pro active company. There was no dedicated person for my case, It took far too long to get completed so i have had to pay the expensive monthly floating interest rate for over 2 months at 9% !!
Fantastic legal team and really good at communicating throughout the whole mortgage process. Thank you! I would highly recommend and virgin mortgages have also been excellent and speedy.
Absolutely hopeless, it's taken since March to get our remortgage completed. We had to ring them constantly to chase things up, they promise to call you back and they don't. When you ask to speak to someone at a senior level you get told there is no one available. In the end I had to threaten them with legal action for financial neglect as it was supposed to be completed by 1st July and we was on a higher rate, after I did this the mortgage was completed a week later.
Think twice about using optima legal. They have not provided any contact for the last month despite chasing. They have repeatedly been asked for completion information and fob you off with the comment that it needs to be reviewed by the technical team who never call back.
What a fantastic and extremely efficient service! Everything was done within less than a week with our funds arriving in 5 days
Communication is unbelievable, the portal actually works (compared to others which never do) and I have to also mention my contact Rachel who was incredibly helpful and friendly.

From start to finish I was made to feel like the only client. Access to the portal was simple and quickly updated which made the process quite exciting as it all went though in just two weeks.
Document upload and subsequent questionnaire was simple and quick to complete. I even got it wrong but a quick call and it was all sorted.
When I needed something or Optima needed something anyone I spoke to knew about our case so I wasn’t ever passed around or made to wait.
We’ve never used a broker and level team before but would always go this way going forward as it was faultless.

I have never in my life experienced such incompetency and lack of customer care. I didn't choose them as my solicitor they were chosen by Barclays for a remortgage, but I've had to chase them at every step of the way and still haven't had a completetion date despite having all the paperwork and documents in place for over two weeks now...this has dragged on for 8 weeks now. This week i have had to phone them every day and still nothing has happened, sometimes waiting up to 40mins to get through. Beggars belief how companies like this exist and why they are allowed to continue in business giving such an unprofessional service. Where are the regulators?
