Absolute waste of time. Have insured trip to Greece. Lost watch while swimming. Contacted insurance company and after processing claim they sent me £66, which is 20% of value of the watch. After pointing out that even if we would consider wear and tear, their pricing is off (compared prices from eBay). They suggested to use other insurance provider. Never will I ever use these again or recommend to anyone else. Two trips to police have cost me precious holiday time and taxi fare, if I would know that this is the outcome, would save money on taxi and insurance itself, would be better off.
Communication is very poor and time consuming. We had our passports stolen while away on holiday. It's taken over a year and even though we had police reports and numerous documents our claim was turned down because the passport hadn't been in a safe. Our hotel room never had a safe. Emailing and scanning all the documents was very frustrating and time consuming. It took weeks for anyone to come back to us. I definitely wouldn't recommend. M
They say that our bank cancelled the direct debit on our instructions!!! Lie number 1 we never asked the bank to cancel lie number 2 so I called my bank and guess what the direct debit is still live ZURICH never took the payment or from there after lie number 3 now because they are a multi million pound company they are always right!!!!!! And now our life/critical illness cover is void absolute disgrace. Please do not buy from these liars very very un-professional and they also never took down our new address which they say they never received hold on lie number 4
Got to be the worst company to deal with. I have called and emailed daily, but still you will not reply or answer my calls. Just been on hold 94 minutes and given up. I am still trying g to get you to pay my final car repair bill which I have paid out my own pocket. Your call centre in India called the garage, nobody can understand them. If you intend to get paid out after an accident do not use this company.
Zurich has always looked after my investment with care and efficiency,always seemingly putting the customer first.
Customer focused with a genuine relationship from start to finish. Everything was explained to the t. Options given for further conversations if one was slightly confused with any aspect of the policy.

Having contacted zurich directly and got one application underway I ended up dealing through a broker. Two application numbers were allowed to exist and it totally confused the zurich administration team and its computer system. Multiple frustration as two medicals were asked for and two doctors medical records were sought. Two trust deeds circulated. It took weeks longer than necessary. Right to the end I was unsure if the underwriters would in fact provide the policy.
Easy to understand my enquiry
Terrible experience with Zurich Insurance I was hit by a Zurich-insured driver in a hit-and-run incident on 9th Nov 2024. I submitted all evidence including photos, a witness statement, and contacted their team repeatedly. Despite this, I have been met with delays, vague replies, and complete inaction. Their latest response? That they have “no obligation” to deal with my claim — despite having clear proof. This is disgraceful. I’ve been left without a repaired vehicle for over 7 months and treated like an inconvenience, not a victim. I will now escalate this legally and publicly. Avoid this company at all costs. They do not care about doing what’s right. This is pathetic, unprofessional and disgusting.
Whom It May Concern, Hi I am writing to formally express my deep frustration and disappointment with the handling of my motor insurance claim following a hit-and-run incident that occurred on 9th November 2024. Despite repeated follow-ups via emails and phone calls, and having submitted all required documentation including a witness statement and supporting evidencee, my claim remains unresolved to date. This ongoing delay, stretching over several months, is completely unacceptable and reflects poorly on Zurich's commitment to its customers. The lack of communication and failure to progress my claim has caused me significant inconvenience and distress. I have acted in full compliance and good faith throughout this process, yet I have received no resolution or even a meaningful update on the status of my case. If I do not receive a clear response with a resolution or a confirmed date for repair approval within the next 5 working days, I will have no choice but to escalate this matter formally. This includes lodging a complaint with the Financial Ombudsman Service and seeking legal advice to pursue a case against Zurich Motor Insurance for breach of responsibility and undue delay. I urge you to treat this matter with the urgency and seriousness it deserves. I expect to hear back from you without further delay. I have provided all the evidence and witness statement but these incompetent people are not doing anything. Disgusting and pathetic service.
Joined chatbot at 10.17 at “first in queue” then after around 20 minutes was updated to “You’re up next!” (I felt the exclamation mark meant I’d be chatting to someone very soon - sadly not). It’s now 11.00 and I have only just now been connected to an agent. If the company is so delayed in getting to customers, why not advise them? Other companies seem to be able to do this and manage expectations. Extremely disappointed with the service and wondering how they will do when I want to take my pension!!

Been disapproved insurance payout for hotel cancellation. Response from support team over email is very slow and frustrating. Was due to attend a college exam which was cancelled due to exam board changes. Not everyone who books these things online are savvy about all the small print. You would presume when buying cover for this kind of thing online, any event of unforeseen cancellation would be accounted for. Feel as though the service is very unfair and the customer service is distant and inefficient.
I spoke with a young lady called Sarah in customer services about changing my address on my account. I am not the best at ringing people to change details so when I spoke to Sarah she was very easy to talk to but quick and efficient in getting what I needed done. Highly recommend using Zurich for whatever policy fits you. They are always on hand to help.
