BLATENT LIES TOLD TO ME They wanted to switch me over to a PAYG meter, which I didn't want. They said they were doing it on a Friday so on Thursday had a one and a half hour conversation with someone that cut off at 5.01pm because the office shut, Next morning I spoke to someone and they guaranteed me my meter would not switch over, and literally did whilst on the phone to him. Customer service in bad situation

This review is solely to note the exceptional customer service from Yu colleage Ritica. I had a number of major issues on my account, primarily arising from the need to switch over the contract from my recently passed away father to my name. Ritica went above and beyond to resolve the complex problems on the account. Her commercial and management IQ was far above my expectations and a guiding light in what was a difficult situation to manage. I note that this was after several bad experiences with Yu's billing system and other confused customer service agents.

Appalling service

After signing a 3 year contract with Yu, they inexplicably changed my meter to PAYG, even though they had billed me for electricity & there was a DD in place. Yesterday, during lunch & at our busiest period, the electricity was disconnected. We had to close our premises as we could not trade. After a 50 minute wait, I was told I would have to top up, which I did. The following day, the credit ran out as most of it had been used to pay the bill which is on DD. Again no electricity & I’m currently waiting to speak with someone. So far I’ve been waiting 45 minutes

AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS

AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS! They over charge you and have the worst customer service. They don’t have enough staff to deal with your billing issues. We had billing issues over 5 months and instead of getting fixed by the company, we kept being charged for not paying! I have never seen any company as bad and inefficient and unprofessional as Yü energy. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID AT ALL COSTS! We have written complaint emails but no one bothers to reply! Instead we get charges for enquiring our bills calculations. We were told that the company sent us a court order but never received it; next thing we saw were two men from Yu energy coming to our business with the court order letter demanding money. This is absolutely pathetic! It would be helpful for someone to reply to our complaint! We are very unhappy with the service we get and will leave the company soon.

5 hours trying to get to speak with someone non way, it will be more than 10 minutes!! That’s the automated message they took £270 of me for being late with a payment and now I overpaid and I have to wait 3 weeks 😡😡😡😡😡and very rude !!

Stay clear

Wrote a review detailing yu energy wrong doing and how they try to bully you into paying rediculous fees that they can’t even explain themselves, no matter who you speak to no one knows what’s going on, they don’t call you back like they say, tried emails tweets and reviews and still nothing over £600 for 6 weeks energy in a small office with 8 spot lights and a laptop that’s all. Make it make sense changed my tariff without notice and increased rates by over 3000% what kind of company is this ? They have sent collection team and had threatening emails yet no one wants to address the problem or take accountability, avoid these fraudulent people at all costs

Trying to contact company regarding various issues, can never get through on phone and no reply to my emails, yet I get plenty of emails and calls from them for me to renew my contract next year - no chance rather pay more to a better company.

Would give a minus star

Would give a minus star. Worst Company ever. Waited 2 hours on phone many times. Say call you back and don’t. Weeks of chasing to sort problem out and still no reply. Costing in new premises £3 a day standing charge. Spent £120 on electric in 3 weeks and only light bulbs on. Martin Lewis should know about our recorded calls we have made. Keep well clear. They should be shut down. Disgusting service
