Disgusting compamy

How on earth can Yorkshire Water possibly believe they are a good company. 21% water leakage. Polluting our rivers with sewage. Increasing our bills by over £200.00 per year. Still paying out bonuses and dividends to shareholders at our expense. I will vote for anyone who brings water companies back under being state run. To top it all off we have a hose pipe ban, I can't wash my car but I can pay someone else to do so. I can't wash my windows but I can pay someone else to do so, whats the difference? Yorkshire Water are you going to give everyone in Yorkshire a rebate?

Requesting bill payment before it is due/payable

I’m not impressed with YW's billing process. My very elderly father (whose bill I manage) pays quarterly with a water meter based on actual usage. I switched to this method of payment so that he pays for what he has used. I was surprised when he received a bill more than a month in advance of when I believed it was due, with no due/payable date on it. When a bill is sent out as early as this one was, some customers will be led to believe that the bill is due and payable when it isn’t. YW would get their money ahead of when it is due. As there is no due date on the bill, I asked when it is due but have yet to receive clarity on this. Was it really due when it was sent or was it sent very early indeed? There is a cost of living crisis at the moment and plenty of people are struggling to pay bills. Sending such an early request isn’t very fair in my opinion. Just to add to this, I have checked the previous bill (final quarter of 2024) and that was issued 2 weeks before the end of the quarter. However the bill I received more recently for 1st quarter of 2025 was issued more than 4 weeks before the end of the quarter. Why? On this trajectory , will the next bill be issued 2 months in advance?
