Excellent introduction to water no matter how young your baby
The swim instructors are fantastic, we had 2 in our time with water babies. From our first lesson when my little one was 6 weeks old to my last session when she was 8 months old. They were kind, helpful & most of all kept us safe in the water whilst having fun and bonding with our babies. It definitely helped my confidence & my little one has always loved the water & isn't scared at all. The only reason for 1 star short of 5 was the venue, because it is a private school it wasn't catered for the usual public swimming. So the changing facilities weren't set up with cubicles, showers, changing tables for babies etc. However, it was very local for us, so we were happy to compromise on this. We could have had lessons further afield with a more formal changing facility but this wasn't practical for us to travel.

Toria the waterbabies instructor at jethen house is absolutely amazing!! She goes above and beyond to make parents and children feel comfortable, supported and heard. Nothing is too much trouble and any concerns you have regarding swimming with your little one is always taken into consideration and the support you didnt even know you needed is alway's given to make you feel confident and ready to swim with you baby. You can really tell the passion she has for waterbabies not only as an instructor but also as a parent who has been through it twice. Im so so glad I chose waterbabies and im so so glad we were put into Torias class.
Progressive and fun
Lessons are progressive and so much fun for me and my daughter. We have been attending since she was 12 weeks old and have no intentions to stop. The confidence gained in just 14 weeks is incredible. Lessons do tend to run late meaning we start later than expected, and this obviously will happen when dealing with children! but I have noticed that our session is occasionally cut five minutes short which is disappointing considering each session is over £20 for half hour.

Amazing Experience Every Week!
I take my goddaughter swimming with WaterBabies and it is the best part of our week - no comparison! Not only do we get to have fun, learn life saving skills and Aoife learn to swim but also we get our amazing bonding time every Saturday morning! I can’t recommend the lessons more!!

We started our water babies journey…
We started our water babies journey when my little boy was only 4 months old at the Marriot in Waltham Abbey. From the very beginning, the entire team were amazing. The office team went out of their way to help with any queries or concerns and made me feel like nothing was too much trouble. We began swimming with Celeste and swam with her for about a year or year and a half and had a few teachers in between. We then got the lovely Hannah! She is AMAZING!!! We have had the pleasure of knowing her since Reiash was 4months old and met a a few water babies events,she is super lovely,always has time for you and sessions are brilliant! My little one adored her and we were gutted lessons stopped due to lockdown and now he will move on to mainstream lessons now. I have recommended water babies to a friend of mine who also joined and swims with Hannah too!! I can't recommend water babies enough - as a company, they are brilliant and have given my little one so much confidence at such a young age and seeing him in the water as a mother,is priceless! Hannah for me and my little one - is SIMPLY THE BEST and we can't thank them enough!! x

Such a special experience between parent and child!
We joined when my daughter Katie was only a few months old and had the lovely Dora as our teacher at Newbridge School. From day one we fell in love with the sessions and the teaching. Dora was amazing in her job and showed constant care for all those in her class. Katie adored her too. Since being part of Water Babies Katie has grown to love the water and has developed amazing confidence in her skills that even at home she is showcasing them every opportunity she gets in water. Even with the pandemic and the new set up Dora ensured the class we were a part of still had that top quality care especially with trying new skills. I’ve loved being able to share this special experience with Katie and to see her grow into the Water Baby she is now. Thank you guys so much!!

Waterbabies - Epping, Essex
My little girl Darcey had attended Waterbabies from just three months old until she was almost four years old. She had an incredible Waterbabies journey and can now at the age of 4.5 swim pretty much independently above and below the water at our local pool in mainstream lessons. Its truly amazing the confidence the lessons had given her in the pool and the safety around getting in and out the water. The teachers are patient, warm and really do love the children they teach. There is a very personal relationship with each child in the lesson. I would have no hesitation in recommending Waterbabies to all parents who are thinking about starting lessons with small babies. Thank you all for the wonderful experience.

Very expensive and photoshoot not included
Very expensive and photoshoot not included in price as advertised. Skills learnt are not very good, it's all about holding on instead of floating on your back which is actually useful. Thankfully the last 4 weeks were cancelled and refunded due to venue issues but in the first 10 weeks, nothing was really achieved. I would recommend taking your child to a local leisure centre for a fraction of the price and researching things you can do with them.

Little one enjoyed the first lesson & lovely to get out /teacher was pleasant/friendly etc! However every other lesson was based on getting head under the water. I felt as though as soon as the first lesson was done , every other just focused on getting them underwater. I understand that it’s a crucial part of learning & I am well aware of the reasons behind getting little ones under water to increase their chances of being early swimmers/safety etc. However - I feel like it was solely based around this- every lesson was leading up to it , if you like. This made it feel like a bit of a chore and took the fun aspect away- it leads me to believe it’s a little exploitative- making parents believe this is the only way your child will ever swim or be confident in water. The photo shoot at the end is a massive money making scheme & I don’t feel it’s necessary (some parents do & that’s why water babies are so successful which is totally fine ) however in my opinion, learning the safety skills and having fun singing splashing etc should be paramount. I feel there should be much more ample time for a baby to progress towards going underwater - not in the second lesson. Each to their own but I’ll be taking little one somewhere where there is less focus on money making & more on the swimming , fun & safety aspect itself. Hope this helps someone decide if worth their money /time

BEWARE CANCELLATION FEE
We haven't had any bad experiences with the actual swimming lessons or instructor, my son and I have enjoyed it but I just cannot justify the price! I decided to find a cheaper class which we have been to and my son equally enjoys but now I have found out I have to pay an extortionate cancellation fee to water babies because I have been auto enrolled onto next term. I feel that water babies as a company is all about whatever money they can get out of you, stick to a local company and pay half the price.

Stay away from this company!!! Stay away from this company!!! Never mind being highly overpriced... I booked my child for one term and when they were taking bookings for another term they automatically booked us in and charge me £180 ! To than tell me if I want to cancel it I have to pay £50 cancellation fee. This information wasn’t clearly given to us. I only found it now somewhere at the bottom of Terms and Conditions. They proudly say you’ll get photo shoot at the end of your term but keep in mind by the end of term they say if your baby isn’t ready for it they can move it to next term - if you don’t book next term you simply paid for something you won’t get. And NO, your baby won’t be swimming by the end of term. They’re clearly a company full of lies.

Avoid this scam company at all costs. They are insanely overpriced for a half hour lesson, they will put you onto their next term without any warning at take £120 from your account and then charge you £50 for a refund. Absolute scammers and terrible classes at that. Avoid avoid avoid
