Excellent introduction to water no matter how young your baby
The swim instructors are fantastic, we had 2 in our time with water babies. From our first lesson when my little one was 6 weeks old to my last session when she was 8 months old. They were kind, helpful & most of all kept us safe in the water whilst having fun and bonding with our babies. It definitely helped my confidence & my little one has always loved the water & isn't scared at all. The only reason for 1 star short of 5 was the venue, because it is a private school it wasn't catered for the usual public swimming. So the changing facilities weren't set up with cubicles, showers, changing tables for babies etc. However, it was very local for us, so we were happy to compromise on this. We could have had lessons further afield with a more formal changing facility but this wasn't practical for us to travel.

Toria the waterbabies instructor at jethen house is absolutely amazing!! She goes above and beyond to make parents and children feel comfortable, supported and heard. Nothing is too much trouble and any concerns you have regarding swimming with your little one is always taken into consideration and the support you didnt even know you needed is alway's given to make you feel confident and ready to swim with you baby. You can really tell the passion she has for waterbabies not only as an instructor but also as a parent who has been through it twice. Im so so glad I chose waterbabies and im so so glad we were put into Torias class.
Progressive and fun
Lessons are progressive and so much fun for me and my daughter. We have been attending since she was 12 weeks old and have no intentions to stop. The confidence gained in just 14 weeks is incredible. Lessons do tend to run late meaning we start later than expected, and this obviously will happen when dealing with children! but I have noticed that our session is occasionally cut five minutes short which is disappointing considering each session is over £20 for half hour.

Quality time and investment for my Grand -Daughter…
I have been taking my Grand -Daughter to Water Babies for 8 sessions now. I have to say initially, I was apprehensive... £19 per session AND I have to get in the pool! Swimming is my least favourite choice of exercise but, that is the force behind getting my Bella to enjoy swimming, with confidence, from an early age. Yes it is pricey but, how easy is it to spend that money on unnecessary purchases, and it is certainly value for money... Bella is 18months old and, despite loving the water, was anxious about getting in and out of the pool & being passed to our fabulous instructor Beth. Beth took the time to get to know Bella personally and soon discovered how to win her over. She is no longer clung to my neck and happily joins in the activities with her new friends... the sessions vary, and utilise familiar songs and nursery rhymes, adapted for the pool activities. The children are taught pool safety habits from the beginning, and class sizes are kept to a manageable level. I love our quality time and cannot believe how confident Bella has become in a matter of a few sessions. I have to admit, I don't actually mind being in the pool either!

Absolutely love...
Absolutely love the baby swimming classes in Torquay with Hilary on Saturdays! She is an amazing teacher who truly understands both the needs of parents and the little ones. Kate is so patient, kind, and fantastic with the babies — it's clear she has a real passion for what she does. My baby, Logan, is full of smiles every time we go to class, and it’s such a joy to see how comfortable and happy he is in the water. Each session feels safe, fun, and engaging. I highly recommend these classes to any parent looking to introduce their baby to swimming in a supportive and enjoyable environment!

Underwater photoshoot
Underwater photoshoot is amazing, the instructors do a normal class set up then one at a time they call the kids to do there underwater swim and photographs, I couldn't pick so had to buy them all and i now plan on doing it annually for progress!

Build confidence and body coordination
My daughter started Water Babies when she was 6 months old, and it’s been an amazing experience so far! She’s built so much confidence in the water — even underwater — and it’s also a great way to bond with your child. Our teacher, Erica, is fantastic; she really cares about the kids’ development and has helped us a lot to reach the next milestones. I strongly recommend it — plus, it definitely helps with those long naps, haha!

The most amazing, valuable experience.
If I could rate more stars I would! We had the fantastic opportunity to start water babies lessons in peterborough, with the most amazing instructor Debi. Our little girl Fallon has learnt so many incredible life saving techniques when in the pool, all down to the amazing teaching done by Debi. Debi is so patient and amazing at settling nerves and making everyone, all the babies and adults, comfortable in the water and making it a fun and enjoyable experience for all. I could not recommend water babies enough, and if you’re close enough to peterborough would more than recommend this location! The amount of confidence Debi has installed in our little girl is beyond anything we could imagine. From only 4 months old to nearly 2 years, every Saturday has been an absolutely joy. Debi, we can’t thank you enough for the work you do. You should be incredibly proud of yourself. Thank you water babies for the most amazing, valuable experience you have given us!

Simon is very knowledgeable, he gives us so much confidence in the water and had taught us so many skills and will always explain why we are learning that type of skill too. My little one is so happy and confident in the class and it always wears her out too.
