Water bill has gone up by £23 a month this year ! Pushing the total to £68 ! This is more than I am paying monthly on gas or electric currently . No compromise, pushing for water meter as only option... See more

I find the staff at United Utilities telephone customer services are always helpful. Olivia was brilliantly reassuring today with regards to my moving house and concerns about bills.
Opted to pay by direct debit.. They’ve set it up at £35pm for a single person in a 1 bedroom apartment with No washing machine and no Dishwasher, Cancelled the direct debit and I will send meter readings in every 2 weeks and pay what it says.
The lady I spoke to was very polite, and very helpful and very friendly
My water bill was unusually high, Adam assisted me through the whole process helped me discover I had a leak he then helped me sort my bill out, he has been amazing start to finished made it a very easy process

Has anyone else seen their water bill astronomically increased by a whopping 28%!!!!! My elderly parents have received their 25/26 annual bill, causing them so much distress . The customer service rep asked them to go and check the water meter (which they didn't ask for) outside as they won't be sending anyone out to read it or they can return to not having the meter and being charged more or they can reduce the monthly payment , causing more arrears as United Utilities 100% believe they are right! Talk about being caught between a rock and a hard place. These companies have the monopoly to charge whatever they want to the consumer as water is a necessary ! It's time to stop and think about your customers and not creaming more money for your commissions/bonuses! Following the instagram communication, I find It's unjust that the consumer has to foot the bill for the astronomical price increase this year. I know I'm not the only one who has raised this concern as I've seen other complaints/concerns on social media. I also noted a bbc article about your scandalous charges. It cannot be allowed , and companies like United utilities should be capped on price increases. I've raised this with Martin Lewis moneysaving expert team , hopefully he will do an investigation. I am also requesting the details of your ombudsman so that I can raise a complaint. Thank you

Workmen come to investigate possibility of underground leak at neighbouring property. Turn leak into overground, smoke over a gas pipe, then drive off. Leak gradually floods garden causing a landslip and probably leaking into house foundations causing risk of subsidance. Multiple calls over 72 hours and no one interested. Lots of empty promises. Issue ongoing and worsening.
