Great Customer Service!

I had trouble accessing the United Utilities website since I’ve left the UK, so I couldn’t possibly send in my meter reading and pay my bills. I reached out to United Utilities through their Instagram DMs, and was pleasantly surprised that I could reach Customer Support on there! Adam helped me from start to finish, and now I’ve finally paid my bills. Thank you!

Excellent service

We woke this morning to find we had no water. There was, however, a stream of water flowing down the road from a hole in the road outside our house. Contacted United Utilities by phone and spoke to a very polite employee who logged the problem and promised to have it repaired asap. Within a couple of hours there was a repair team working outside. Extremely impressed by the service. Thank you!!

United Utilities are dumping sewage…

United Utilities are dumping sewage into the Manchester Ship Canal. They even went to court to fight for their right to destroy the environment. Im not usually an environment guy but this is disgusting what kind of people would do that.

Terrible job installing a water meter

Terrible job installing a water meter. Wouldn’t admit fault or that they had caused issues and said that I had signed a form to allow them to do what they want. Aka fit the meter and leave my drive in a terrible state. The meter is also very low and not flush with the drive and they did not backfill so now I have a big hole and trip hazard in my driveway right where we park the car. It’s only a matter of time before me my wife or two young kids are going to fall into it and get injured.

Joanne Davison

I spoke with a wonderful woman from United Utilities called Joanne Davison on 02/06/25. I had to make contact because I had fallen behind with my payments (don’t mention the fluffing TV licence 🙈..I am trying to convince them I have a 65’’ black and white portable tv, I am 102 years old and I only watch reruns of Corrie. Free the Weatherfield One) anyway I chose to call them because I get easily distracted when typing. I cleared the security questions and Joanne introduced herself and asked how I was and how could she help, I seemed to be talking so fast but Joanne put me at ease telling me that everything is going to be okay and how reaching out is the first step so I began to tell Joanne my life story and how my payments are linked to the weather (sunshine I pay, rain I don’t. Hence why I am behind 😀). Joanne listened and I could hear her talking notes down on the system which also put me at ease because if someone else had to access my account then I wouldn’t have to repeat my circumstances. When I had finished with my life story she stopped typing and slowed everything down and really took the time to reassure me and in great detail explained what my options were and explained that other services outside of United Utilities maybe able to help and she sent me a link which has been very useful and Joanne also passed my information on to another department who could in more detail help me set up a more affordable payment plan (which they did). At the end of the call Joanne had some really kind words and along with her caring and patience really helped me face a situation that could’ve easily spiralled out of control. Thank you so much Joanne

Broken water meter hatch cover

I noticed the cover on my water meter hatch was badly broken. I contacted United Utilities by WhatsApp. They couldn't have been more efficient. Their agent Casey was courteous, very efficient and dealt with my problem excellently. If only all service companies were as good as this!

Cant give no stars but took half day…

Cant give no stars but took half day off to fit water meter turned up looked at it and said someone might call in 2 weeks. Could he didn't want to do it. Got in touch with them and they asked if I had a phone call to get another appointment but nothing. Very poor company and staff aswell
