Has anyone else seen their water bill…
Has anyone else seen their water bill astronomically increased by a whopping 28%!!!!! My elderly parents have received their 25/26 annual bill, causing them so much distress . The customer service rep asked them to go and check the water meter (which they didn't ask for) outside as they won't be sending anyone out to read it or they can return to not having the meter and being charged more or they can reduce the monthly payment , causing more arrears as United Utilities 100% believe they are right! Talk about being caught between a rock and a hard place. These companies have the monopoly to charge whatever they want to the consumer as water is a necessary ! It's time to stop and think about your customers and not creaming more money for your commissions/bonuses! Following the instagram communication, I find It's unjust that the consumer has to foot the bill for the astronomical price increase this year. I know I'm not the only one who has raised this concern as I've seen other complaints/concerns on social media. I also noted a bbc article about your scandalous charges. It cannot be allowed , and companies like United utilities should be capped on price increases. I've raised this with Martin Lewis moneysaving expert team , hopefully he will do an investigation. I am also requesting the details of your ombudsman so that I can raise a complaint. Thank you
