Classic Tuscany Tour - Fantastic

The travel department had every thing arranged with no delays so well organised. The tour guide was excellent so informative and extremely nice Claudia . The only problem was sitting at the same table every night you did not get to know all the other guests as there was 50

Lake Como - Great holiday
Our second holiday with Travel Department as we knew from previous experience, that from the moment of booking you can relax and know everything is taken care of. A leisurely 7 night holiday with 3 leisure days. The included tours were excellent and our guide Carol looked after us very well. Hotel Bazzoni was comfortable and we enjoyed the half board meals. We had a balcony facing the lake and enjoyed watching the activity on the lake. Would recommend Travel Department for a holiday to Lake Como.

I wanted to go on the solo trip but it was booked out. Got abit annoyed when I found out that a group of friends went on the solo holiday, As they all knew each other they should have went on the group one and therefore leaving spaces for the solo people

Another excellent trip with the travel department
Another excellent trip with the travel department. Great guides, drivers and hotels. I found seeing 3 countries in 7 days though a bit exhausting at times. Not really much time to relax but determined to go back to Slovenia and Croatia and see more of these beautiful countries. 26 people in the group and a lovely group.

Egypt.. Cairo, River Nile cruise and Hurgada
I have just completed a 12 day tour of Egoty which included 2 nights in Cairo, 7 nights on a cruise down the Nile and 3 nights in the coastal city of Hurgada on the Red Sea. I have travelled many times with the Travel department. On this occasion I was a single traveller. As usual everything went seamless from the initial booking to departure. I did not use the service offered to get Visa. I did that myself. We flew with Egyptair. The flight was punctual and the services offered in flight were fine. We were met in the airport by a rep. There was some delay in the airport before all the party secured their luggage. As a result it was quite late when we reached our hotel in Cairo which was the Holiday Inn in Maadi. The standard of this hotel was excellent . Spacious rooms with beautiful views over the Nile and great options for lunch , dinner and breakfast. The next guide our group met our guide Dodi for the first time. Dodi has been guiding tours for the Travel Department in Egypt since 2007 I think. As guides go, he was superb. He has a deep and extensive knowledge of Egyptian history and culture , having studied extensively. He shared this with the group with great passion and effectiveness and was always willing to go the extra mile to help any member of the group who encountered problems. He made the phone call that sorted all problems whether it was a lost wallet or a wrong perfume or other. The tour was extensive and had many very early mornings, the purpose being to avoid the intense heat and big crowds which happen later in the day. There was plenty of time to relax also and socialise with members of the group. We flew from Cairo to Luxor and had 7 day cruise on the Ramedis 2. This river boat is similar to most others thst travel up and down the Nile. It is dated and certainly not equal to European 4 star riverboats but was adequate. The staff were lovely. Food was quite repetitive and only of a fair standard. We visited some magnificent architectural sites during the cruise including temples in Edfu. Phillae, Luxor and Karnak. I loved the cruise on the Felucca around Elephantine island. The day visiting the valley of kings and in particular the tomb of King Tut was superb. We travelled to Hurgada for 3 nights to the Swiss inn resort on an all inclusive basis. Beautiful hotel and a lovely way to relax at the end of the tour. I did two extra optional tours. One was a hot air balloon trip which was a bucket list item for me and absolutely lived up to my expectations. The other was a days snorkling off the reefs in Hurgada. It was stunning and very well organised. Dodi accompanied the group on this tour. Highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in visiting Egypt . The success of the tour was enhanced by the excellent guide used by the Travel Department. Thank you Dodi!

Did the trip to Iceland
Did the trip to Iceland, Reykjavik, Blue Lagoon, Northern lights and Golden circle which had been on my bucket list . The trip was so well organised and timed and we had an excellent guide Martina , highly recommend Travel Department as from booking to going on the trip everything went so smoothly and we also were part of a lovely group of 22 people . I normally book independently but the value of the trip and having someone else do the planning was ideal for this trip. I would definitely use them again .

We had a grt trip to india recently with travel sept! Our guide Anu was fantastic… so knowledgable! Hotels Lovly… coach & driver amazing! We had a grt group with us.. lot early morning starts… & flgts!!! But worth it all! Def Grt memories of a grt trip….

Traveling Budva Montenegro
Traveling with the Travel Department is effortless, Flights, Coach journey, all is looked after. We went to Montenegro beautiful scenery, Hotel was perfect, food was amazing, The view from our room was so beautiful looking out at the sea..... If I had 1 negative comment it's the distance from Dubrovnik to Budva after the flight was long.....

Fantastic 1st Travel Dept Trip to Canada
First time travelling with Travel Dept. We went on the Maple Leaf tour of Canada in October 2023. Everything was very professional. Our tour guide in Canada, Matt de Jong was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for him and his knowledge was second to none. He is a real credit and ambassador for your company. Hotels in Kingston, Montreal and Quebec were fantastically central. Highlights- Niagara, tours in Montreal and Toronto. Hopefully, the first of other travel packages with Travel Dept.

I recently travelled to Lake Como for…
I recently travelled to Lake Como for seven days with Travel Department. It was my first experience traveling with them. It was an unforgetable experience from beginning to end. We were met at the airport by our very professional guide. She was from the beginning of our holiday, to the end, supportive. She went as we would say ' the extra mile'. Lake Como and its surrounds were breath taking. It was more than I expected. Every aspect of the holiday was so perfectly planned, so as to have me feel, I could genuinely sit back and relax. The hotel overall was excellent. However, I wasn't completely satisfied with my room, I was on the third floor in a room without a view. My fellow traveller was in room next to mine without a view. My friend requested change of room, and was informed , that she would have to pay supplement in order to get room. Overall it was a holiday delight, and I'm already considering travelling with Travel Department again

Indian odyssey
A wonderful itinerary, led by an excellent, well prepared and interesting guide with a lovely group of people. The Splendours of Rajasthan tour was outstanding! We had excellent hotels, a varied and interesting itinerary that introduced us to the many different layers of life in India. Travel Department was excellent value for money and this trip packed in so much to see and do! We loved every minute of it!
