Kelly McDermott is the perfect host agent showing us round. All the communications beforehand very good too. Thank you Thornley Groves for providing an most efficient service so far.
Lois McGuinness was incredibly informative and helpful as we explored the house. She explained the entire process clearly and helped deepened my understanding of getting a mortgage as a first time buyer. I felt comfortable to ask any questions and was content with her informative answers! Looking forward to continue working with her :)
Very professional and responsive when arranging and managing our rental property. Really quick to sort out repairs too when we first moved in.

Completed a sale recently which was ongoing for long time due to some issues, Vickie from sale branch has been reassuring things in timely manner and made this sale go through smoothly. Thanks Vickie for all your help and support, will definitely use Thornley Groves for future projects.
This company is an absolute disgrace. Stay way clear. My daughter moved into her Manchester property with two other tenants in August 2022 and soon found out that her key fob didn't work. It is now mid-November, and she still doesn't have a working key fob to get into the property (neither does one of the other tenants). All of her share of rent and utilities are paid to date, but she still can't get into the property. Thornley Grove's communication skills regarding this matter are shocking, whether email or telephone we never get a response. Now they're harassing us for extra rent and utilities, as the other tenant who doesn't have a key fob is now refusing to pay her share. Save your money and go elsewhere if I was you.
Great service provided by Amanda from the Fallowfield branch. A few things needed fixing/replacing in the flat and she went out of her way to help us getting things sorted within a reasonable timeframe — she was the one speaking with the landlord on our behalf and arranging all the repairs.
As a landlord, I'm very disappointed and dissatisfied with the service provided. It's almost impossible to contact their agents and staff. I have an ongoing issue with flooring in my rented house which they manage and I cannot speak to someone to sort out the problem. They took over from Homes4u and just as bad.
The most incompetent letting agents imaginable. They left us with no boiler - no heating or hot water - for over 3 months. No updates about repairs, our property manager did not even answer emails or the phone to us. Then our ceiling fell down. Over 2 months later and plasterboard is still falling. Our kitchen is unusable and unsafe - "not an issue" they say. Water is dripping down our walls due to a roof leak. We reported this 3 months ago - still not fixed! Our water is not shut off due to the leak and ceiling collapse. How much compensation are they offering? £250. £250 back when we have paid £3000 in rent on a house which is UNSAFE and UNINHABITABLE. Our landlords had no clue that the ceiling had collapsed. They were horrified when they come round to see the house. They are obviously moving to a new letting agent. Do not rent with these people! They will leave you in an unsafe house for 6 months and offer you £250 for the "inconvenience". The council is investigating and their next step is forcing Thornley Groves to repair the house as they clearly are incapable. Edit after their response to this review: we have already complained to that exact email - after 2 months of being dismissed, we had our final offer of £250 and shut down any further communication.
I spoke with Liam Pope who was able to provide me with some excellent local market knowledge regarding my first buy to let investment as to where to look and what rental income and yield to expect and aim for. This information has been invaluable and I would highly recommend speaking with Thornley Groves to help find your first buy to let investment and guide you throughout the process!
Kelly was fab and very attentive to finding what we needed
