Great teas, poor experience

Great teas, poor experience. I tried skipping orders, but the skip button wouldn’t function on my phone and I don’t have a PC. I sent two emails asking for help with cancelling my subscription before the next orders processed. Both emails were ignored and my monthly orders processed anyway. I reached out to a friend with a PC who accessed my account and cancelled my subscriptions. It’s a shame because I loved their tea. Edit: I can’t respond to their reply on this review. The email they provided below was the same one I used to try and contact them previously. I still haven’t received a reply on my original requests to cancel.

Surprisingly, Super teas 🍵

I decided to treat myself to some of these teabags as I've been suffering from anxiety lately and wanted something soothing. I bought Calm, Happy and limited edition Spiced Pear. The spiced pear surprised me at how spicy it actually is... perfect for these cold January days 😍 Both the calm and happy teas are perfect. They're a real treat for the senses and I immediately feel better when drinking. The quality is obvious when compared to brands sold in supermarkets and I for one will be buying again. Thankyou!

Sad & Highly Disappointing Discovery😟

I was given a big variety box of "Tea Pigs" teas for a Christmas gift from my daughter. When I opened the box for the very first time to choose a tea for my breakfast, sadly, I discovered, crawling on the inside of the upper lid...a maggot! I contacted my daughter to ask if she could return it for refund. She was grossed out and told me to throw her gift away. So, I was highly disappointed that I never got to taste any of those delicious sounding tea varieties.

Tea, But Not As We Know It

I tried this stuff during a recent stay at a Coaching Inn. It is quite simply, the worst cup of tea I've ever tasted. I say 'tasted' which implies there was some. I suppose that was just about detectable but whatever it was, it was barely reminiscent of tea. To compound the felony, the blurb on the everyday brew references it being their 'Rosy Lee' their 'builders tea' - frankly if you served this up to a builder he or she would probably walk off the job. The boast about only using 'whole tea leaves...not the dust found in regular tea bags...' simply doesn't hold water - or indeed, much tea in this case. If you really like tea, stick with what you know - you're highly unlikely to enjoy this tasteless stuff.

Weak, flavourless tea.

I've sampled TeaPigs tea in various cafes over the years but have to say every time I find it weak and flavourless. I've even tried leaving the teabag in for as long as possible but this just results in lukewarm insipid tea. If a cafe uses TeaPigs tea then my heart sinks and I will opt for coffee instead.

good tea-lousy service.

Twice gift enclosures were left out-once, you understand. Twice?? And the gift I received from teapots from someone who probably thinks I know who sent it remains and unthanked mystery.

Great quality teas in a fab range

Great quality teas in a fab range. If you’ve never tried these and you’re a herbal tea lover then you really should - you’ll never go back! The best tasting teas ever - flavours are more potent and authentic tasting, not at all like the usual brands I’ve had from supermarkets. Yes they’re a little more expensive but they’re well worth it - standout quality teas in a wide range form regular black teas to herbals, fruity & green matcha.

We have enjoyed teapigs for a while but the bags in the last box we have received are half filled and then mainly dust rather than whole chamomile flowers. Feel the quality has dropped in the interest of profit. Not sure the brand is still worth the premium.

Love Tea Pigs

Love Tea Pigs. Customer service is fantastic as is the ordering process. People always say how much for a tea bag, thats until they taste a cuppa made with them. Perfect for a occasional cuppa or for when you have guests/family over (if we can remember a time that was allowed). Top quality product and even better service levels.

Brand is all about making money and ripping customers off. I've been buying Tea Pigs for over 5 years and agree they are more expensive but don't mind. I've noticed less and less tea in each bag , to the point there is no flavour and the taste is now horrible. Nick and Louise ( company owners ) really need to go back to their roots and sharpish !

Quality tea.

Although expensive, Teapigs everyday tea is worth every penny. It tastes fantastic and is my new firm favourite tea first thing in the morning!

Paying for the Package, not the Tea

Unfortunately you're paying the premium price for their eco/green packaging rather than for the tea itself. I bought the breakfast brew and honestly, it isn't that great. Bearing in mind that Teapigs is just Tetley/Tata, you're better off saving your money and buying just normal Tetley, or investing in some proper, decent loose lease from a specialist. For a breakfast tea it just isn't strong enough, there is hardly any hint of the tannin that you'd expect from a good, morning brew. The initial flavour is lacking but there is a very herby aftertaste, much akin to a redbush kind of tea, which isn't particularly pleasant. The amount of tea in each 'temple' (posh pyramid teabag) is sparse. If there were more tea in each bag the flavour profile, I suspect, would be much different. Using two of these bags to get a decent brew is prohibited by the cost of each bag which equates to about 20p per 'temple'.

Great for luxury teas

I started using Teapigs chamomile to help with insomnia - worked brilliantly, much more effective than any other chamomile tea I've tried. I started ordering directly from them recently - both orders have been delivered really quickly. Their teas are not cheap, but when you want something special they're hard to beat. Their honeybush / rooibos is the best I've found outside South Africa - available either as loose tea or in teabags. Their darjeeling tea is wonderful (but very expensive). Their everyday loose tea is really good. They also have a weekly newsletter, often with great offers. Enjoy!!
