This company is shocking

This company is shocking 2 months, no installation, no sorry or anything . In May they said they would connect the first part then a week later they would need someone to be at home for the final install. I booked time off work then they cancelled said no line in sight, I had to contact them to find out what was happening. They said it wasn’t them who fit it but would get back to me. Eventually they said they would send a supervisor out to assess the problem, never heard anymore, I contacted squirrel once again they said the same again and they would find out from ms3 the cable company. Weeks after, many emails later they told us to chat to our neighbours to see if they could span a cable across their yards, so I went round to see them. All said not a problem. I contacted squirrel to let them know, weeks later they gave me another date for installation, once again they never turned up. I contacted squirrel again who didn’t believe me , they then told me to be at home for the final fit. (which I booked time off work) but they never turned up at all . Got no response from squirrel again, we are now mid July so I cancelled it. Had no sorry or anything, they are a joke!!

Very quick installation

So far so good, we had broadband installed 2 weeks ago , the instalation was very quick, the router arrived the day after and was very easy to set up , although we haven't been able to use it thoroughly as we haven't moved in yet , the service seem ok so far .

Wow what a fantastic improvement he engineer was friendly and efficient…

The engineer was friendly and efficient in the work he carried out putting the modem where we wanted. And when we received the router the following morning and we plugged it in following the easy and simple instructions.....wow what a difference the whole house has internet access (which was limited from our previous supplier).And it even works in our garden

I'm one month in and the Internet is…

I'm one month in and the Internet is terrible. Speeds are showing half of what I'm paying however with that it should be fine. But it seems that the speed displayed does not justify what I'm getting on my computer. It's slow, laggy, not reaching upstairs. My last provider was Virgin and they were not the best but a lot better than Squirrel. The chap I called was rude, told me the whole "well if you was to buy a car from the garage" garbage. He was not there to help or resolve my issue. on top of this I purchased a mesh router as I'm getting a garden room however this does not help a lot and I'm told if the Internet does not reach to them buy multiple mesh or wifi extenders. Sadly I've been caught in a 24 month contract now and seriously regretting my choice. when something is saying it might be to good to be true, trust me it is with Squirrel.

If you call you will get help and a solution

I was having problems with my router. It had a problem and the power kept going off which made it unusable. At first I was poorly advised to do something which was not going to help. I gave up on the online chat and tried to work it out myself. I tried hard to make everything work to no avail. For a 65 year old female I did quite well but not well enough so I telephoned. It was clear right from the start that I was speaking to the right person. He was incredibly helpful and I was sent a brand new router. I now have superfast internet and a telephone line with free telephone calls.

Ordering , installation great, good communication, from email saying new router was on its way and tracking was the last communication i had until this review. But overall no big issues service looking good. low latency :)
