What an absolute joke

What an absolute joke. I set my insurance may 2023 and they call me today to tell me after a year, that any gold in my house would not be covered by their policy. That this would be an additional payment. Wth your telling me this today, when asked why wasn't this flagged up, said it was because it was set up online. So where was that disclaimer online to tell me that? Do not waste your valuable money with these clowns. I asked for then to resend the email or letter, apparently they called me in 2023? 🤔

First time claiming SKy home insurance…

First time claiming SKy home insurance and having a complete nightmare, for an emergency fix and with a vulnerable person in the house with a window frame hanging off the wall, first called Tuesday AM, eventually got through and they hung up, told someone would be out within 24 hours, didn’t happen, called back today and no ticket had been raised, contractor came out, said he couldn’t do the job an hour ago as it needed a building assessment , now left with an unsafe wall and window in my sons bedroom which he can’t use and no further info, absolutely dreadful service, and now have my son sleeping on the couch for a 3rd night with an unsafe bedroom, would most definitely NOT advise using this company

I have taken a new car policy via 1st…Central

I have taken a new car policy via 1st Central and it appears is underwritten by Skyfire. I have requested a hard copy of my policy and have still not received it. I have lodged a complaint with the broker now. I have been given an address for Heywoods Heath Uk. If I had known how bad this company and the broker 1st Central were I would never have dealt with either. I have been driving for 35 years.

Absolutely awful home insurance

Absolutely awful home insurance. I had a blocked pipe which caused my kitchen to flood (my wooden floor is now ruined) and they sent out a plumber who said the pipe is blocked and the soil pipe is faulty. He told me to call the insurance back and ask them to send a drainage company. I called the following morning at 9am and they said they had assigned someone to me. Hours passed, I called again at 11, then at 1.30 and both times they said the same thing. When I called again at 3pm, they said no one was actually coming as I’m not covered because the soil pipe is faulty. Firstly, why make me wait all day to tell me that? I took a day off of work, I had no bathroom facilities available as the waste water coming from the bath and shower was causing the flood and I have a small child. I managed to get a drainage company round the same day (and paid evening rate) who sorted the blockage in 45 minutes; he said the soil pipe didn’t cause the the actual blockage so technically I should have been covered. I’m absolutely disgusted with this insurance product and would strongly recommend others are not fooled into using them.

Cheap car insurance. Bad customer service experience.

Obviously there are plenty of glowing reviews on here, but I can only comment on my experience, and the fact that I feel compelled to go on here and write a review speaks volumes of my customer experience with Sky Insurance. Firstly, credit where credit is due. I got a really competitive price for the temporary car insurance I needed (hence the two stars and not one). All good on that front. Unfortunately, when I actually needed to communicate with them to ask a simple question, the response was pretty rude and unhelpful. When I asked for my query to be escalated, I was told “there’s no one to escalate to as I’m the Manager of the department”. And “this isn’t normally an issue for other customers”. By the way, I was simply asking for a receipt for my payment as this cost needs to come from my Mother’s estate (she passed away recently). Not impressed, however, I’m sure it was bad luck and I just drew the short straw. Perhaps the “Manager” I dealt with was not a good barometer for their culture or behaviours as a business. Having said that, I wouldn’t use them again on principle. In future, I would rather pay a couple of pounds a month more and use someone else.

MR2 - Luke

Spoke to Luke on the phone to insure my 1996 MR2 Turbo. Being 23 years old it is difficult to insure this but all my mods declared and I was quoted a good price. Sky Insurance, Luke is a credit to you, proper nice to talk to and knows his stuff about cars. Hopefully taking out this policy soon :)

Great customer service and price

Luke who sold me my policy was fantastic, last year I called round 2-3 other "modified cars specialists" and frankly spoke to people who clearly didn't like modified cars and it came across followed by a daft quote. Luke was friendly with a brilliant telephone mannerand understood my engine conversion and supporting modifications and got me a great price. Great job mate

Please please people do not insure your…

Please please people do not insure your son or daughter with these people , the black box gives a % rate every day and it kept going down , they rang and said my sons driving was bad , even though for 2 weeks his car was in the garage and it still kept going down . It went down to poor in 6 months and yesterday they cancelled it after 6 months and £2,227 , they are a rip off and now my son can’t drive , he is so upset , disgusting company
