A great holiday company.
All inclusive holiday very good. No hidden costs. The variety of tours was excellent and the quality too of a high standard. We have no hesitation in recommending Scenic.
We found the cruise disappointing and misleading
We found the cruise disappointing. The staff were all lovely, polite and helpful, the room was kept clean and tidy and it was well organized. The food was good. The guides were all excellent. However pictures in the brochure were misleading. We only "cruised" for one afternoon where we could see the scenery we mostly travelled at night. Our cabin was also above the engine room and the bed actually shook at night. We thought we were booking an up market luxury cruise but it honestly felt more like a holiday camp. The photo in the brochure shows a couple at a table with space all around being served by a waiter. We were all crammed into the dining area with so little space you could hardly walk between the tables.

Honest opinion of scenic spaceship river cruise
The spaceship, accommodation, crew on board, included trips and butler service were all excellent. At times the food was not the standard we expected for the cost of the river cruise. Having one sitting for dinner at 7pm, meant that some evenings the starter did not arrive until after 8pm. Some items on the menu were not enjoyable. Our butler was excellent and after a chat, suggested we had some meals in our cabin, which we were not aware we could do. , a somewhat different menu, short wait time, and piping hot delicious food was delivered by our butler, very professional and caring. We even had breakfast in our cabin one morning, prompt, hot and unlike the 30 minutes wait for poached eggs in the dining room. For us this let the trip down, and a consideration when booking another cruise.

The trip was fabulous food service…
The trip was fabulous food service excursions wonderful and would rate 5 stars. However we were taken to the airport (7 people in total ) and literally abandoned on the outskirts of Schiphol airport with no idea where we were. It was a long trek to the actual airport terminal and although we are relatively fit it was still a struggle. It was also difficult to decide which way to go. One elderly lady on her own was really upset. It felt like none wanted to know about us when the tour finished. To be honest it felt like that on the last day on the boat too

A fabulous 21 day cruise on 5 rivers of…
A fabulous 21 day cruise on 5 rivers of France. We did not need to pay out anything apart from two drinks in a cafe in Bordeaux because we needed a bit of R & R and the loo. The cruise director was A1 and every eventuality was planned for or taken care of. This was our fourth holiday with Scenic. Worth every penny. Not a care in the world from getting in the executive car for the airport to getting out of another one on return home. We have already booked another Scenic river cruise for next year: the Douro explorer. Already excited.

The gym was very disappointing,I appreciate the size but the equipment is very average and only one dumb bell on both vessels as we had to change for unforeseen reasons. But we have booked another trip today
