A great holiday company.
All inclusive holiday very good. No hidden costs. The variety of tours was excellent and the quality too of a high standard. We have no hesitation in recommending Scenic.
We found the cruise disappointing and misleading
We found the cruise disappointing. The staff were all lovely, polite and helpful, the room was kept clean and tidy and it was well organized. The food was good. The guides were all excellent. However pictures in the brochure were misleading. We only "cruised" for one afternoon where we could see the scenery we mostly travelled at night. Our cabin was also above the engine room and the bed actually shook at night. We thought we were booking an up market luxury cruise but it honestly felt more like a holiday camp. The photo in the brochure shows a couple at a table with space all around being served by a waiter. We were all crammed into the dining area with so little space you could hardly walk between the tables.

We had a fabulous trip to Vietnam and Cambodia with a really interesting itinerary and lots of special experiences that you couldn’t organise yourself. The final gala dinner was amazing, a once in a lifetime experience.

I would like to rate it 5 star but when…
I would like to rate it 5 star but when leaving the boat I have come down with Norovirus This has totally ruined my 80th birthday celebrations I now understand that this was identified on the boat before our departure not only in guests but also executive crew After my last cruise when we didn’t get to go where we were supposed to and given insulting compensation and also not told the whole truth I am being to loose patience with Scenic and certainly there head office policies

Be very careful about relying on Scenic marketing info
I went on the Rhythms of Brazil trip and whilst it is all very luxurious (and I am sure it is great for Antarctic trips), in my opinion the ship is not geared up for hot climates. This is because :- 1. There is no swimming pool (or even a plunge pool), only jacuzzi type pools - Apparently the swimming pool was taken out several years ago, but there are adverts still being shown on TV for the Eclipse where someone is swimming. To me this is very misleading. 2. Outdoor space is also very limited and if you want to sit in the sun you can usually only find a deckchair, rather than a proper sunbed - I only counted 6 sunbeds which were always full. The main reason I only gave 2 stars is because I feel I cannot trust Scenic as a company any more for the following reasons. :- 1. The unique selling point for their cruises is having helicopters and a submersible, but you should not assume you can use them. Personally I double checked when I booked because the documentation was confusing and was told yes the helicopters would definitely be on board and they even provided me with costs. They also made some suggestions in the documentation provided on when you might like to use the helicopters and submersible. What they didn't say was that the helicopters/submersibles would not be available because Brazil do not allow them to be used ! I feel I was mis-led, because surely Scenic must have known this before the start of the holiday. 2. Advertising someone swimming in a pool when there isn't one is also misleading. So my recommendation is that you don't rely on what Scenic tell you, but do your own research. Very disappointing

The cruise was very relaxed
The cruise was very relaxed, it was organised with the comfort and convenience of passengers in mind. The crew were polite, friendly and efficient. The ship was very clean, comfortable and well equipped,although the shower cubicle was quite small. The food was great. The selection of wines and other drinks was very good. Excursions were well organised and interesting and the entertainment in the evenings was enjoyable. The girl that ran the disco was great. It was good to know that everything was paid for at the start and there were no gratuities to pay at the end, truly all inclusive.

It was all that we had hoped for in a River Cruise and more. The ship was immaculately clean and very tastefully and luxuriously furnished. The cabins were so comfortable and well equipped and we made great use of the balcony with the retractable window. The organisation and service at all levels were of the highest standard, nothing was too much bother. There was the widest choice of food, branded spirits and quality wines, cocktails beers and ciders as well as mocktails and branded soft drinks and also choice of daily trips to suit all interests and levels of fitness. The 2 Enrichment evenings were exactly that! It is an expensive holiday but well worth it.
