A great holiday company.
All inclusive holiday very good. No hidden costs. The variety of tours was excellent and the quality too of a high standard. We have no hesitation in recommending Scenic.
We found the cruise disappointing and misleading
We found the cruise disappointing. The staff were all lovely, polite and helpful, the room was kept clean and tidy and it was well organized. The food was good. The guides were all excellent. However pictures in the brochure were misleading. We only "cruised" for one afternoon where we could see the scenery we mostly travelled at night. Our cabin was also above the engine room and the bed actually shook at night. We thought we were booking an up market luxury cruise but it honestly felt more like a holiday camp. The photo in the brochure shows a couple at a table with space all around being served by a waiter. We were all crammed into the dining area with so little space you could hardly walk between the tables.

The staff and the trip
The staff, who were very efficient and helpful. The quality of food was very good. Great choice of dishes. Drinks and bar staff who did a great job. We particularly liked our tour guide Phillipa. She was both fun and informative Handling of luggage was very professionally carried out. Overall our Trip on the Duoro was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed the company on board Anne Miller

Everything about the river cruise was first class…
Everything about the river cruise was great, I really like the idea of not having to book additional trips to the places we stopped at, all was included and you got a choice of what trip you wanted to go on. Food, staff all first class, this was our first Scenic Cruise and will not be the last.

Unfortunately we didn’t enjoy the cruise very much as too crowded for us and food not great. Perhaps it’s because our last river cruise was on Crystal Mozart and this seems no comparison. So much so that my husband decided he won’t go on a river cruise again !

Fabulous but why not 5 Stars?
This was a two week river cruise from Amsterdam to Budapest. Scenic could not have done more, so why only 4 Stars? The food was superb, the all inclusive drinks and wine choices excellent and the staff absolutely top notch. The cruise director Renata was one of the most efficient human beings I've met. Excellent choice of land excursions and all well organised by Scenic. But, the cabins are small, we had a deluxe balcony suite but even so there is nowhere to sit within the cabin except on the bed, and the balcony was barely used as it was quite cold when we travelled in early May. There is only one public space on board which doubles as a lunchtime alternative to the dining room and has the bar at one end. Quiet it never was, any idea of sitting there with a book to watch the river slide by was impossible with piped in music and 107 Aussies and 20 Americans on board. Our shower room had a cracked basin which looked as though it was not recently damaged. Reported it but nothing could be done. This 'Spaceship' design is typical of most river boats with the only option to our cabin one of the two or three high end suites that have a lounge area and which had already sold out a full year ahead. Scenic were 5 Star in all respects but the ship design means we would not travel again unless in one of the two or three top end suites.

Brilliant Scenic Cruises
First time I have been with Scenic cruises and they were absolutely brilliant. Staff, Tours, Scenic Spirit Ship, Itinerary, Mekong, Hotels in Vietnam and in Cambodia, Tour Guides, Flights etc everything amazing. Any problems and they were sorted they really did look after us all. This Cruise is a must if you have not been on it. We loved every trip. It was very hot but we did not mind. We loved learning about others Culture. The Farewell Gala was out of this world it was outside in front of a Temple, stars shining down the temple lit up, dancers, beautifully set tables, food, drink and much more. Scenic certainly went out of their way for this and it was amazing really amazing. Thank you so much.

Lovely cruise and great staff
Lovely cruise and great staff, my only negative would be the dinner times are very regimented, no lee way to go to dinner later if wanted, on our first night it was very rushed and to be told we were late and then rushed thru the menu I didn't like.

Not a 5* experience!
Marketed as a 5 star cruise line. However being with other operators on river cruises I would only describe it as 4 star. Food let it down it was good but not amazing! Butler service in suites was excellent. Service by staff overall good but some members didn’t quite make the grade, particularly the reception manager! Would I travel again with Scenic, yes, but not on the Eastern Danube cruise.
