A great holiday company.
All inclusive holiday very good. No hidden costs. The variety of tours was excellent and the quality too of a high standard. We have no hesitation in recommending Scenic.
We found the cruise disappointing and misleading
We found the cruise disappointing. The staff were all lovely, polite and helpful, the room was kept clean and tidy and it was well organized. The food was good. The guides were all excellent. However pictures in the brochure were misleading. We only "cruised" for one afternoon where we could see the scenery we mostly travelled at night. Our cabin was also above the engine room and the bed actually shook at night. We thought we were booking an up market luxury cruise but it honestly felt more like a holiday camp. The photo in the brochure shows a couple at a table with space all around being served by a waiter. We were all crammed into the dining area with so little space you could hardly walk between the tables.

Very good
As always, the service on board is excellent. Personally, I enjoy the majority of food, although it’s not always spicy enough for my palate (clearly a heathen), and it’s presented nicely and served well. The cabins are the size advertised and are well appointed. I do think the decor is now a little dated and could be improved. Showers are a decent size & water hot. I dislike the current toiletries- they smell a little too detergent-like for my taste. They’re supposed to be Espa. Trips are generally good and well run. The e-bikes are fabulous & a good addition. We’ve been lucky enough to have 2 cruises with excellent cruise directors who have amazing voices & have given us a couple of vocal performances which have added to the experience. Longer or more entertainment might be nice for those of us who are young at heart. Great experience but 4 stars due to things like no printed tickets, no luggage labels or onboard credit (the excuse for stopping the backpacks was “in the interests of the environment “ but we were only given cruise credit in place of backpacks last year and it’s clearly another cost cutting measure, as are the toiletries) ; dated decor and toiletries. Otherwise- great!

Our first river cruise
Our first river cruise. We did our research and chose Scenic because it claimed it was fully exclusive and had a good choice of excursions. Everything exceeded our expectations. All the staff were wonderful and the excursions were great and we loved everything about it.
