I hummed about this one before…
I hummed about this one before eventually not investing. I could easily have got done but usually for a lot of the projects I wasn't quick enough in deciding. That is probably why because it felt like a pressure sell....invest now or miss out. Disgusted really from the comments what has happened.

Just read thrives renewable said that there sorry to hear ripple gone under that no payment has been made to them either from Ripple or the coop. There looking forward to dealing with one or the other but at moment there continues with build on there own. Why hasn't ripple sorted a deal

Could not make my final payment. Just checked their reviews and have found out they have gone bust. Thanks for telling us no doubt I would have lost my investment. The Directors would be well cared for got scam written all over it. Have had no return on my investment.

Great website, easy to use and set up. Ripple’s allowed us to take action on climate change ourselves and it’s an investment we can take with us if we move home.

Ripple - a low carbon future
Having seen an advert in New Scientist we explored this intriguing idea of owning part of a wind farm. We were driven by the idea that all of our electricity would genuinely be generated carbon dioxide free. Reducing our electricity bills was good but not our driving factor. However, with the rise in wholesale energy prices the return on investment now looks stronger than we originally envisioned. The company have been very open with developments and responsive to any requests for information, especially when we were initially trying to understand the model. This is a great model for people to get involved in and see benefits from a green future.

Owning a piece of a windfarm
Ripple have been doing a great job building the windfarm and communicating with members but no returns yet on my investment after 15months. Another moan is that I cannot get Octopus/CoOp to install a smart meter, despite being on a waiting list for well over a year and I have to use this energy supplier to get returns from the windfarm and cannot switch.

Chance to reduce your Carbon footprint and save money
I discovered Ripple on a Facebook Group for customers of Octopus Energy. They offer the opportunity to buy shares in windfarms. After chatting online to Sarah of Ripple I decided to invest. My investment is not huge, about £1700 and in fact the amount you can invest is limited depending on your estimated usage. The chief benefit is that investors are helping to reduce carbon emissions but there is also an economic benefit: Your share of the electricity generated is sold to the Grid and the proceeds are credited to your energy account with participating suppliers. It is a bit speculative but your investment will reduce your bills for the next 25 years and if electricity prices continue to rise the savings will be significant. I found Ripple to be very transparent and open about the project but before investing I would advise that you read all the documentation and talk to the Ripple team to make sure the investment is right for you. The first windfarm is due to come online at the end of 2021 and I have already reserved shares in the next one.
