Saved us 12k by speeding up the exchange before budget 2024 hits!

Very Professional and fast paced service. They are very observant of minute details in contract and will make sure that Client will never be disbenefit by any transaction. Special Thanks To Sean Hibbert who has saves us nearly 12k by speeding up our exchange of contract with 45mins just before the new 2024 budget hits the next day which would have made substantial increase in additional property stamp duty tax. Thank you Sean and Team. We ill most defiantly recommend you to our friend and family for any future legal transactions.

Josh Randles

Josh made my first time buying experience seamless! I’d always heard rumours from friends about having to be diligent with your solicitors as they’d only be as quick as you were with processing your application, but this wasn’t the case! Josh was very quick and comprehensive with his updates, pretty much doing what he could to make the process as seamless as possible for me! I’d easily refer him personally to anyone buying a home! Thanks Josh!

Joshua is an outstanding professional

Joshua is an outstanding professional. As first time buyers, we found the process of buying a property very challenging. Joshua was very patient and responsive, clarifying all our questions. If we had to buy a new property, we would choose him undoubtedly. Thanks Joshua.

AVOID AVOID AVOID

The process of purchasing my property began in December 2023 and was not completed until August 2024. This protracted and drawn out process was one of the most stressful periods I have experienced and made all the worse by the apparent incompetence and appalling communication of those I dealt with. On only two occasions in over eight months did I speak with anyone over the telephone. I even emailed my concerns to MDs and Directors and none ever contacted me, I was ignored. Neither myself, nor the seller were in a chain at any point throughout the process with no major issues with regards to the property, as far as I am aware, which only fuelled frustration. My mortgage offer had to be extended and even then the team did not meet the new deadline, even though I was initially assured by my solicitor that they foresaw no issues in completing within the original deadline. Having missed the extension deadline, I then had to re-apply for my mortgage. The need for a Deed of Variation was raised by my solicitor in January 2024, however it was not until my Mortgage Broker contacted her via phone in May 2024 that evidence of this was provided to the seller’s solicitor. This lengthened the process considerably. In June 2024, I received an automated email with details of a new Case Handler with no explanation provided. The lack of continuity only meant the process continued to be drawn out. At one point a response to an enquiry was sent to the incorrect recipient at the incorrect company, resulting in further delay and compromising the sharing of personal information. GDPR, anyone? I received an email apology from a junior member of the team which felt insincere and had probably been edited from a prewritten or AI template. At the point of completion I received my second phone call in eight months from my solicitor to tell me that I would need to transfer additional funds, which had not been included in the completion document, of course they blamed the seller’s solicitor. The blame game was played throughout the process, which I was never interested in. The service was very poor and lacked a personalised, human element, with all communication taking place via email rather than any contact via phone. The app was not fit for purpose, it often did not update and at no point notified me when there was a new document that needed my attention. In order to check for notifications, I had to log out and log back in. Thank goodness I had my Help To Buy ISA, I cannot begin to think what I would have been charged for this appalling service without it. It has taken me a long time to write this review due to the upset and injury that has been left working with PLS Solicitors. My words may seem harsh and I may come across as a keyboard warrior, but they are just the same, with everything done via email and blame continually being focused elsewhere. To a solicitor mine was just another purchase, another day at the office, but buying my first property was life changing to me and I would have appreciated the road to achieving it being a lot less bumpy with a personal touch.

Jack Fox did everything great

Jack Fox did everything great. We were 3 buyers and this created some glitch in the app and we could not get useful updates from that, but it was all compensated by the prompt actions and responses from Jack, who was obviously swamped in work, but found the energy to be there for us to make everything clear. Thank you Jack and PLS!

Worryingly unprofessional, avoid.

I am at the end of a chain in a property sale and this firm has added more grief and anxiety to the already stressful situation of buying/selling a property. We have all had to rearrange completion dates twice now because of some issue relating to the person dealing with the conveyancing at this organisation. They either can’t be contacted or are claiming not to have received paperwork, when proof has been provided that it arrived at their offices that morning, there just seems to be endless unaccountable delays. They are not my solicitors but are dealing with the poor person at the bottom end of the chain. It is inexplicable and worrying that a professional organisation is offering such a poor quality service. To echo someone else’s review avoid, avoid avoid. PLS have contacted TrustPilot to suggest that I must be reviewing the wrong company so to confirm I’m reviewing PLS Solicitors PLS House, 2 Aegean Road, Atlantic Street, Altrincham WA14 5UW. I’ve been contacted yet again by Trustpilot because PLS Solicitors have said I have broken guidelines by naming the person who is responsible for dealing with the paperwork, so I have removed their name. A couple of points : I put the name so that a responsible professional could look into the reasons for my review and perhaps expedite the process. We STILL haven’t exchanged and were due to complete on 25th Oct…..endless prevarication followed by confusion from “she who will remain nameless “ as to why we weren’t able to complete on the 25th …..because you held everything up with your nonsense and we hadn’t even exchanged !!!! Really ? New completion date agreed followed by Monday’s revelation that she hadn’t got some paperwork from the mortgage company…..she has it now but no sign of an exchange and we are now trying to sort another completion date. People have to arrange removal vans etc….! ….but if you care to look through the many 1* star reviews this seems to be a “thing”. There appears to be no complaints regarding following guidelines where names and surnames of staff members in the 5* reviews left on the site. I strongly recommend to potential clients that they also check out “reviews solicitors “ Google is definitely your friend Big question, why are PLS Solicitors concerning themselves with going to TrustPilot about my review instead of investigating the problem and endeavouring to deal with it ? They have not asked a single question to find out how they can help.
