They took 10 000CZK for some sort of made up penalty fee, I emailed them million times, they said straight away they are not refunding anything, so I took the matter to the bank, provided email communication supporting my claim and there you go! Just received a full refund via the bank. These people are fraudsters. Now I am going to report them to the police, so they can raise a criminal case against them! You won’t be able to hide!

Auto riconsegnata domenica sera senza nessuno a verificare lo stato del mezzo. Parcheggiata in area da loro indicata aperta al passaggio di chiunque. Dopo alcuni giorni inviano foto di 2 micro segni sulla carrozzeria, probabilmente già presenti al momento del ritiro e trattengono la cauzione di ca. 1000 €. Inutile ogni reclamo. Veri truffatori

Auto oddane bez żadnych uszkodzeń i miesiąc czasu czekam na odblokowanie kaucji na mojej karcie kredytowej. Napisane reklamacja na którą nie dostałam odpowiedzi, wykonane mnóstwo telefonów i za każdym razem tylko odpowiedź już ponaglamy i będzie odblokowana dnia następnego. Omijać z daleka tą wypożyczalnie.

I booked a rental with Panek (Poland, Modlin Airport) via Booking.com for $188, but the final cost ballooned to $588. Upon arrival, I was forced to pay for full insurance because my international driving permit was digital — a policy not disclosed during booking. Two days into the rental, they charged my card an additional 600 PLN (~$284) for a supposed GPS speeding violation, with no warning, explanation, or proof. Emails were ignored. Staff on return spoke no English. I’ve since disputed the charge with my bank and cancelled my card to prevent further unauthorized charges. After researching, I found countless reviews matching my experience — hidden fees, insurance pressure tactics, and unexplained charges. The company was recently fined for unfair practices. Booking.com should stop partnering with Panek — it’s damaging to customers and their platform.

Raport wydania auta pokazywał że auto nie posiada żadnych uszkodzeń. Po oględzinach okazało się że jest ich bardzo dużo. Wysłałem zdjęcia do obsługi klienta a przy odbiorze usłyszałem jak pracownicy miedzy sobą mówią "TO TEN UPIERDLIWY" po czym powiedzieli "WSZYSTKO OK" Protokół zwrotu też nie zawierał żadnych uszkodzeń. To wszystko było ponad trzy tygodnie temu na lotnisku w Łodzi a do DZISAJ DEPOZYT NA KARCIE JEST ZABLOKOWANY a podczas rozmowy telefonicznej tylko słyszymy że już wysyłają zamówienie do realizacji i nic się nie dzieje

Update to a Panek car hire, who refuse to send documents to clarify the said damage. They accused me of lying when I said I had a video of picking the car up, and refused to send documents showing the said damage that I requested for an appeal, or advise the use of the red measuring card used to measure damage. On the day I handed the car back 20th April 2025, they immediately took 5250 slotys from my credit card, giving no chance of an appeal. But if you raise a dispute with your bank send them prove that you have they will raise a dispute with Paneks own bank, they will have 45 days to respond, if they don't my bank with request the money from their bank, works both ways then.

TERRIBLE CAR RENTAL COMPANY! We travel quite a lot for work and this time it was for a weekend to visit Auschwitz. At the airport in Krakow we rented a car from Panek. The guy at the desk seemed more or less ok, but dishonest as we found out later. The car itself was the only thing that was ok. The price seemed also ok, but the deposit of €1000,- - as we found out only at the airport !! - is crazy! Although we took a video and photos of the car when we picked it up, as well as when we returned, they charged us the full €1000,- deposit. For so called ‘damage’. They sent us a photo that could be of any other white car, with some scratches on it. We could not verify if it was the car we rented, since there was no tire, nor license plate visible. We complained and sent our photos and video of the return of the car, we called, but nothing happened. No one responded to us, so finally we handed over to our legal insurance who took care of it. Finally we got the money back, but from our insurance. Not from Panek. So this is their terrible business model. Worst experience in rental cars ever!

This company has taken £50 from my credit card. A month after I returned the car for alleged cleaning. We returned the car in a spotless condition. Complete lies and theft.
