I wouldn’t recommend this centre in Stockley Park for families with children or for anyone considering buying a membership for family use. The soft play area has been broken for several months now, and unfortunately, there are no plans to repair it. There are also very few classes available for children, which is quite disappointing. Additionally, facilities like the sauna, steam room, and jacuzzi are not accessible to anyone under 16, which limits the experience for families. One of the toilet doors has been broken for a long time and still hasn’t been fixed. The cleanliness of the changing rooms is also not up to standard.

Extremely Disappointed

Extremely Disappointed – Unauthorised Payment After Cancellation I cancelled my membership at Nuffield Health Gym Chigwell and received an official confirmation email stating that my final payment would be on 1st July. Despite this, they still charged my account after the cancellation date. This is completely unacceptable and feels like unauthorised billing. I now have to go through the hassle of disputing the payment and trying to get my money back – even though I have clear written confirmation that my membership had ended. If this is how they handle cancellations, I would strongly advise others to think twice before joining. A gym should be professional and trustworthy, not take money from ex-members without permission. Extremely disappointed with how this has been handled.

Take everything in… I lost 2 stone of weight by listening to the booklet and taking the information in, would highly recommend, Ellis was fantastic!

Aaron Fowle is my PT and he’s fantastic - I had been coming to this gym for 3 years and love all the classes and the instructors. I switched to PT when zi decided to do hyrox and saw a lot of change in muscular mass and energy levels. Aaron is a real asset to Nuffield and fitness in general 💪

Excellent Treatment. From the beginning I was treated with…

From the beginning I was treated with friendliness and respect by all staff members. There was an a general atmosphere of cheerfulness and positivity in the hospital. The staff carried out their duties efficiently and engaged well with the patients. They inspired confidence and were always willing to help. Nothing was too much trouble. I was well looked after in pleasant surroundings with a woodland view.

Really happy with Nuffield health! Great gym, feel good classes and really clean facilities. Both staff and fellow users are friendly. Would recommend to others. I actual look forward to working out whereas I used to find it a chore.

Disappointing Service at Nuffield Gym - Unresponsive Management 'Niall'

My recent experience with Nuffield Gym at Turners Hill, particularly with the membership manager Niall, was extremely disheartening. After four years as a loyal member, my request for an urgent cancellation due to the closure of the Crawley Leisure Centre gym was met with silence and avoidance. Niall, showing a lack of professionalism and courtesy, refused to take my calls, only responding with a dismissive email after weeks of waiting. This experience reflects poorly on the gym's customer service and management, leaving me with no choice but to escalate the issue and share my experience publicly.

Nasty

Sneaky terms and conditions on their gym contracts. Most other gyms allow you to give notice ahead of the next direct debit payment but this place wants the next *two* payments. I had already cancelled my direct debit by the time I found this out (good luck finding any info on the cancellation process on their website), leaving me with a small debt after I left. Even though I had been in touch with head office to understand what the outstanding charge was for - and had agreed a day to call to make the payment - this company sold my debt to a collection agent without warning. All of this over a charge for membership when I was no longer using the gym so they weren’t even out of pocket. *EDIT after reply* The info on your cancellation process clearly needs to be better sign posted as many other reviews here mention the same issue. CARS is a collection agent - they purchase debt from companies including Nuffield at a lower cost than the outstanding bill. That’s how they make money. The fact that my account was passed over to them means that Nuffield sold it to them - probably at a tiny % of the cost of the debt itself - regardless of how Ben wants to spin this below. Anyone can read the rest of the reviews mentioning similar issues below & hopefully take note before considering joining this gym.

Derby Nuffield Hospital

Derby Nuffield Hospital. Just had a medical procedure there that involved stopping in. The care, attention, dignity that I was dealt with made the whole procedure feel safe, secure and comfortable. Besides all this, the food was always fresh, hot and wholesome just like a good hotel. You don’t go there to be spoilt but that’s how it felt. Just great and came out repaired. Thank you.

Review: I've been a loyal member of Nuffield Health Brondesbury Gym for the past 12 months, enjoying the classes and facilities they offer. Unfortunately, my positive experience has been marred by the extremely disappointing and deceptive nature of their contract and cancellation policies. Facilities and Classes: The gym itself is good, with nice facilities and fantastic classes that kept me motivated throughout my membership. Deceptive Contract Practices: My frustration stems from the way the gym handles contracts. I signed up for a 12-month contract that was set to end on the 31st of January. However, when I inquired about cancelling my membership on the 5th of January because I am changing address, I was shocked to learn about the automatic transition to a rolling contract and a 1-month notice policy. Unfair Billing Practices: Despite my contract technically ending on the 31st of January, I was informed that I had to pay for the entire month of February due to this sneaky automatic renewal. This feels like a deliberate attempt to extract an extra monthly payment from loyal members. Lack of Transparency: What's most disheartening is the lack of transparency and communication about these policies. I feel deceived and frustrated by the way this situation was handled, especially when loyal members are treated as mere sources of revenue rather than valued participants in the fitness community. Customer Loyalty Disregarded: As a loyal member, I expected better treatment and honesty from Nuffield Health Brondesbury Gym. This behavior is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the integrity of the gym's management. Conclusion: I urge potential members to thoroughly scrutinize the fine print of any contract with Nuffield Health Gyms. The lack of transparency and the unfair billing practices have left a bitter taste in my mouth. It's disappointing to see a gym prioritize profit over the loyalty of its members.
